The excitement of winning the quidditch cup quickly wore off of Rey. Time flew by quickly, faster than his feeble brain could ever comprehent. Each day blured in a haze of routines, doing whatever he could in order to prepare him for the upcoming finals. People have always coming up with different ideas of what would show up in their final. And each time they did so, Rey vigorously prepare himself with that new possibilities.

Speaking about his finals, of course Rey couldn't forget about his boyfriend's upcoming hurdles too. That abomination was called the Ordinary Wizarding Levels, or OWLs for short. Considering how important OWLs was for one's career, Rey quickly came up with the idea to not bother his boyfriend at all, a month prior to his test. Though his boyfriend insisted that he wouldn't mind having him around, Rey still stood firm by his idea.

They finally came up with a compromise -after Cedric's tearful pleading- to keep giving some small talks to each other before bed. Despite so, he and Cedric must try their best to keep everything to themselves during the examinations week. That means no hang outs, no study sessions, no mental chit-chats, no anything. It was horrible, but they knew it was for the best. If only once they slipped up during that wretched week and meet up, they would completely neglect their studies, he had no doubt about that. Rey didn't want Cedric's OWLs results to be affected just because of him. He was not worth it for Cedric to get an unsatisfactory OWLs results.

At least after the exams were all done, they would eventually meet up and do anything to celebrate their freedom. Anything they want, anything they could. So when the examinations week would finally started the next morning, Rey and Cedric bid each other goodbye before going up to their own bed, crossing their fingers for the upcoming hell.

The first day of examinations went by hastily. Rey and Hermione attended the 9 am arithmancy test first. The test was set by none other than Professor Septima Vector herself. She required the third years to answer different types of questions. There were five short answers questions regarding numerous arithmancy terms that Professor Vector have taught them over the year. There were also 20 exegesis problems that required students to interpret the value of a word and explained its magical properties, all and all in a minimum of five sentences. And how Rey could forget about those three final essays that have been set in a way that every students got their own sets of essays. Rey was grateful that Cedric have warned him beforehand to read the notes that Professor Vector gave to him thoroughly, just in case they would came up for the essays.

After Rey and Hermione have both finished their exams, they quickly hid themselves in an empty classroom and use the time-turner. The two of them then quickly scurried over to transfiguration, avoiding their past selves as best as possible. Every third year students, despite their houses, were clamoured into a magically-enlarged classroom. The students were then called one by one to come into Professor McGonagall's office to transfigure a teapot into a tortoise before the professor would shooed them into another classroom through a different door to wait for the others to finish.

"You're rather proficient in this field Mr. Olympia. You just reminds me of your mother, or maybe your friend Mr. Diggory." The Professor gave him a faint smile before shooing him towards the other classroom to wait.

After lunch that day, Rey had to take Charms before taking the time-turner with Hermione to attend Ancient Runes. Professor Flitwick's test was rather easy, as it only required him to perform the cheering charm on his partner, Heath. Different from Charms, Ancient Runes took a theoritical road. Both Hermione and Rey struggled halfway through the test, as it was filled with questions that were asked in runes. The two of them limped their way across the testing papers, burdening the pain of translating each and every questions before having to answer them. After they were done with their test, Rey quickly returned to his room to recite for potions before drifting asleep.
