"No, seriously, thank you Harry." He thanked his fellow Gryffindor again.
"That's fine. You're looking a bit green. Judging from everybody's reaction on the dragon that you get, your reaction is totally just." The boy shifted his weight to the right foot.
"Why did you do that though?" Rey finally voiced the question that have been nagging him for the past few minutes.
"Just consider it as my payback for helping me on last year's quidditch final. At least we managed to give Wood a memorable victory." The boy explained, totally oblivious to Rey's astonished expression.
"But that was like 6 months ago? Besides that was my job desk too..."
"Still, you did me a favour." The boy hard-headedly insisted.
"Fine... fine. Thank you for your help then," Rey shot the boy a genuine smile before checking his boyfriend's whereabout. Cedric have already gone.
"Has it started yet?" He asked his cousin, who was clearly enjoying the view from one of the open spaces.
"No, not yet." Gunnar replied, shortly before Professor Dumbeldore's thundering announcement.
"Please welcome, the first champion, Mr. Diggory!"
The entire stadium, including Rey, exploded in excitement as Cedric stepped into the arena. The arena itself was a large circular space that was full of large and jagged rocks. It would be a difficult place to navigate on, unless one decided to fly or use levitating shoes. But besides the difficulty they provide, the rocks actually would be helpful for anyone to protect themselves from the fires, or maybe they could chip the rocks into smaller pieces and transfigure them into something else. Either way, Rey hoped that his boyfriend would fair pretty good.
The dragons that Cedric had to face was the Swedish Short-Snout, the one that was dubbed by some as 'the handsome dragon'. From what he briefly heard from the other champions, Short-Snout had nothing really dangerous besides its distracting skin and blazing hot blue fire. Its skin was categorized as distracting due to it's silvery-blue color that could reflect lights and blinded someone temporarily. And as if that was not dangerous enough, one have to count the dragon's blue fire.
Blue fire, if anyone haven't been aware of, was considered as one of the hottest types of fire. Besides violet and purple, blue fire could easily melt steel and cobalt alike. Rey himself did not want to imagine what would happen if said fire was ought to graze his boyfriend, as the effect of such instance would definitely be fatal. Therefore, he was completely thankful that he have taught his boyfriend some of his defensive skills.
"Do you think he's good?" His cousin abruptly asked him.
"I'm sorry?"
"Do you think that guy, Diggory, is good enough to face the Short-Snout?" Gunnar elaborated.
"Of course, he is..." Rey responded, almost sounding offended. "Everyone of us must be, considering that the Goblet chosed us."
"Chosed us?" Gunnar snorted, attracting his attention at once.
"Why?"
"Well... what about that Potter guy?" His cousin stared blankly over his head. No one would need two braincells to deduct that Harry was actually standing a few feet behind him.
"The Goblet spit up his name, so despite what everybody have said, he must be good enough to face the dragon." Rey put up a blank expression on his face, challenging Gunnar to debunk his point.
"Huh.." His cousin desisted, "fair point. Oh look! He's parkouring!"
That simple remark definitely catched Rey's attention. He turned back to the arena and quickly spotted his boyfriend jumping in between rocks, inching closer and closer towards the golden egg.
