Being able to feel people's emotions could be beneficial at times. But Rey would be lying if he said he didn't want the ability like his boyfriend's. That's a whole damn pack that the Hufflepuff has. Reading his mind, telepathy -Rey wasn't sure if that is the name-, mind projection. What's next? Mind control?
And if anyone of you didn't catch onto what happened, they were having a game of chase. With Rey being the chased one and Cedric being the chaser, naturally. They clearly couldn't run around the few -crowded- halls without catching other people's attention. So they started with some sort of fast-walking, whatever people call it these days. Passing on some people they knew, exchanged short pleasantries, proceeded, and repeated. And as soon as Rey turned into a section of the castle that had always been deserted at night, He bolted into the distance.
Dashing through the maze that was Hogwarts Corridors, Rey found it challenging to find a place of hiding that Cedric wouldn't be able to find him easily. It wasn't until he found an old storage room that was full of empty cupboards that Rey stopped running. He entered the room, closed the door softly, and hid in a cupboard at the far back of the room. He waited and waited while trying his best to keep his mind blank. Rey also didn't forget to pray to Lady Tyche.
It didn't long for Rey to find that his prayer didn't quite reach the Goddess of luck.
The door to that storage room opened slowly, letting out a spooky creaking noise like in those horror movies that are popular among no-majs. After the door was closed, Rey could hear Cedric's heavy footsteps slowly approaching his position. They stopped short, and Rey could hear Cedric opening the cupboard next to him. Rey held his breath.
"Huh..." The Hufflepuff said to himself. "Maybe I should check the storage room next door. I should have known that this is the wrong one." The Hufflepuff left his hiding place while muttering something about this room having one less row of cupboards than the one he was hiding in. When he heard the door closed for one last time, Rey let out a sigh of relief.
Rey decided to wait for a minute -just in case- before he stepped out from the cupboard. He stretched out for a bit before leaving the room. And just when he was about to pull the door open, a hand slammed it shut from behind him, effectively blocking his way out.
"You should've tried better, little one," Cedric whispered the sentence lowly, sending shivers down his spine. Rey didn't move an inch, as if he was just hit by an immobulus spell.
The Hufflepuff wrapped an arm around his waist not a second later and pulled him tight against his more muscular frame. The older boy then placed his right hand upon Rey's bare throat, causing his breath to hitch as if he was choked. The truth was, Cedric didn't even put on any pressure on his throat. His hand just lingered, perhaps only wanting to show who was who.
"What say you if we spend our night in our special spot?" Rey could feel Cedric's hot breath brushing against his neck.
"Which one? We have many." He replied with sass, earning his throat a light squeeze. He managed to stop himself from moaning, but he couldn't the tiny whimpers that escaped just in time.
"You should have known better, to never start something you can't finish, right?" The Hufflepuff warned before nipping his earlobe. He was sure that if Cedric didn't hold him close with those strong hands, he would have collapsed right then and there.
"Not even a word?" The Huffelpuffed cooed.
Rey couldn't even say anything. A single shake of his head was all that he could muster.
"Let me take you there then."
Without warning, the Hufflepuff scooped him off his feet and carried him bridal style. In his defense, he didn't yelp. He merely protested before instinctively curling his arm behind Cedric's neck. While he was silently taking in his boyfriend's details -from his alluring scent to his warmth that could swallow him whole-, Rey did not have the confidence upon himself to do anything. He just closed his eyes, clung tight to Cedric's body, and kept quiet.
