The next morning, everyone excitedly walked to the quidditch pitch. A blizzard have descended upon the ground last night, but thankfully it was done by dawn. Thick layers of snow covered the entire ground, forcing people to be extra careful when making their way to the stadium. If people weren't so busy cursing the fallen snow on the ground, they would definitely appreciate the clear weather, as the sky was blue and the sun shone brightly above their heads.
The audience slowly trickled into the wooden benches, which - thankfully - have been cleared from any snow by Hagrid. Rey sat down between Hermione and Harry, as the two of them got into a slight disagreement over her descision last Christmas. By Hermione's word, Harry got a firebolt from a mysterious sender. So Hermione, being herself, told Professor McGonagall about it and she confiscated it for a thorough inspection.
"I was just worried about him you know. Remember that first year incident where his broom was bewitched by Quirrell? Still can't believe it wasn't Snape." She told him one evening in the common room.
Many people, around three quarters of the school, opted to support the Hufflepuff in expectation that the Slytherin would face a rare defeat against said house. Despite so, the Slytherin still whole-heartedly showed their support towards their house. People held nothing back that day to vocalized their support. A fairly large amount of them who support Hufflepuff, mostly girls, brought large banners with words that Rey sure would make his boyfriend blush. Some held a declaration of their feelings, some asked him to go out with them sometimes, and some other... were more explicit than he thought.
People waited excitedly for the match to be started. And when the clock strike 11 that morning, both of the team walked through the snow covered pitch ground to face each other. It took quite an effort, but when the two teams finally met head to head, people roared excitedly. Though the excitement was quickly replaced by confused murmurs of the captains whereabout.
"Hello HOGWARTS!!!" Lee Jordan greeted the audience, which quickly replie with the same level of enthusiasm.
"Welcome to today's match, the Hufflepuff vs the Slytherin. The weather is nice, the sky is bright and the sun's shining. Though I was quite dissapointed as the blizzard only stopped till daw-" Jordan's commentary was cut off for a while. The audience laughed as they knew very well that it was due to Professor McGonagall reprimanding him.
"Jordan can you stick to the game?" Professor McGonagall warned the boy.
"Right, right. Sorry professor. Now, without further ado! Please welcome the Slytherins' captain, which might I mention, have a very terrible loking front teeth - Ow, OW! Sorry professor!- Marcus Flint!"
The crowd's laugh from Jordan's intermezzo were cut off by Flint's entrance. The Slytherin's captain flew around the stadium on his Nimbus 2001. The green house roared excitedly while the rest of the audience politely clapped. After another round around the stadium, Flit landed on the ground, waiting for Cedric's entrance to the stadium.
"All right, all great and all. But now! Might I warned you ladies to hold your hearts dearly, cuz this man is a total hearthrob." A waves of giggle swept through the crowd. Rey couldn't help but wonder why Professor McGonagall didn't stop that flattery.
"Oh my God, Cho! That's the guy who defeated you."
"Marietta, stop it." Cho Chang, the Ravenclaw's seeker, tried to shushed her best friend.
"You're blushing. Do you have a crush on him?" Marietta teased Cho again.
"Shush.."
"Too bad she and other girls didn't know. Hearts gonna break." Hermione nudged him, making him blush.
