Don't get him wrong. Rey loved his hair, but keeping his hair long started to irk him a bit. Ever since the beginning of the summer, he have neglected his hair. Initially, he wanted to cut his hair around August or so. But when he and Cedric knew that there would be some sort of special event this year at Hogwarts, he refered from doing so. He made that decision in hope of being able to style his hair easily later, but it turned out to be such a mess.

It was practically impossible now for Rey to neglect his hair. He have spent the entire morning contemplating between what style fits himself best. It was a tough decision to make, as he kept alternating between tying his hair up in a man bun -that didn't complement his feature that well- and cutting his hair back to its usual length. The latter would be boring, but at least it would suit himself better.

So after his decision was made, Rey reached out for the scissors in his drawer and deftly cut his hair with ease.

"Hey love, you're rea- Oh do you need any help with that?" Cedric cut him off before smoothly offering a hand.

"Oh..." Rey turned around to face his boyfriend. With a half cut hair still in his hand, he stared at his boyfriend in confusion.

"All right, turn around please." Cedric crept up behind him before finally took the scissors off of Rey's hand.

"The usual?" The Hufflepuff getured the length that he would cut off, prompting Rey to nod slightly.

For a few minutes, serenity settled between the two of them. There was only the ambient sound of his hair being cut by the scissors in Cedric's hand. The Hufflepuff hummed a calming tone with his soothing voice, all the while expertly cutting his hair. Cedric's face was displaying what it seemed like an undivided concentration, as if the strands of his hair was the most prescious thing in the world.

"All right, all is done love." Cedric put down the scissors back onto the counter, before letting down the loose strands of his hair onto a separate pile.

"Oh, look at my cute little boyfriend." Cedric started ruffled his newly cut hair. The Hufflepuff then pampered him up with a slew of sweet nothings.

Diggory never failed to turn him into a puddle of goo with his slightest touch, and that was proved by Rey's current reaction. That course of action made Rey purred lightly, all the while tilting his head back so that he could look at Cedric right into his eyes. Oh those stormy grey eyes, how beautiful they were.

"May I stole a kiss from you, my love?" Cedric hugged him softly from behind before swaying slightly from one side to another. It was as if they were a lovely couple, dancing away through the quiet morning. A lazy dance that was, but you got the idea.

"Of course, Ced. Might as well steal my heart when you're at it." Rey grinned like a fool as he thought over his stupid response.

"I think I've done that already." Cedric pursed his lips before lowering them to meet his own.

The kiss was sweet and tender, causing him to remember that they haven't kissed at all for such a long time. A week, maybe? It could be that, and people might be okay with that. But considering what a terrible that week was for him and Cedric, Rey didn't know that he was so deprived until Cedric kissed him at that very moment.

The two let their lips locked on each other for a while, savoring the moment to the very end. And when they parted, Rey kept his head leaning onto his boyfriend's chest. He closed his eyes while swaying along with Cedric, dancing on the enchanting rythm. It was all quiet and silent, until Cedric decided to break it.

"Something in your mine, little one?" The Hufflepuff rested his chin onto Rey's head, with his face looked equally troubled.

"Nothing."
