Cedric woke up in the hospital wings, surrounded by a few of his Hufflepuff friends. He couldn't remember everything perfectly. It was some sort of a shock and then nothing. He just laid there on his bed, fixed on withstanding his throbbing headache. The crowd in the hospital wing slowly dispersed. He was left all alone until his bestfriends, Anthony and Malcolm, came to his sides and filled him in with what happened on the field.
"You fell from the sky!" Anthony made a hand gesture to match up with his word.
"And your dear friend saved you." Malcolm leaned closer to him so that only the three of them could hear.
"Friend? Which one?"
"That Gryffindor bloke you've been all tangled up with." Anthony wiggled his eyebrow.
"Gryffindor bloke..." Cedric tried to process everything with his brain before exclaiming, "Rey! Where is he?" He managed to catch the attention from Harry and another Gryffindor player who have been left to rest by their friends. The girl didn't pay much attention to him, but he catched Harry stared at him for a bit before averted his gaze and rolled over to get some sleep.
"You don't really have to shout Ced. He's okay now." Anthony reassured him.
"Popped his shoulder and cracked some bones, but nothing Madam Pompfrey couldn't fix." Malcolm added to his reassurance.
"Good Merlin, thank God." He released a shaky breath.
"So, the thing between you and him." Malcolm leaned closer to inquire in a hushed tone.
"You two are just getting closer and closer. Are you two like... dating?" Anthony inquired further about him and Rey.
"Are we really that obvious?"
"To some, you two are. But some people would just brushed it off as... best friend."
"He better off being your boyfriend rather than your bestfriend." Anthony swcowled before turning to look at malcolm.
"Bet!" The two of them then exclaimed at the same time.
"I'm just gonna take things by the steps now. First order in business, Christmas Dinner. The rest would fell into place as the time goes on, if that first one went well." Cedric frowned at the thought of either of their parents rejected their relationship.
"Wish you the best of luck mate."
"Yeah, we suggest if you want more luck your way, buy us a pint of butterbeer or two on the next Hogsmeade visit." Anthony shot him a cheeky grin, which quickly replaced with a grimace as Malcolm just elbowed his side.
"You're impossible."

Cedric stayed at the infirmary until just before dinner. Madam Pompfrey then ushered him out as she was still busy attending to Rey's broken left arm. Apparently, the boy broke his left arm and shoulder pretty badly. Cedric felt nothing else but guilt. He should've be the one who protected Rey, not the other way around. Especially not when it would cost Rey another hospital visit up on his belt. Sulking, Cedric walked to dinner before sneaking back to the hospital wing after doing his prefect duty. It was weekend anyway, so he have all the time to spare.
As soon as he arrived, he passed through Harry -which mind you, was looking at him like he was a piece of galleon or something- before finally took a seat besides Rey's right. He drawned the curtain that seperate his boyfriend's bed and Harry's -there was an empty bed between the two, but he still needed some privacy-, so that he wouldn't have to see the boy's not-so-subtle stares.
