Never, in his good conscience, that he would try to talk with Cedric so soon after that embarrassment. Yes, you got it right folks. Rey have been evading his boyfriend for these past two days. Whenever it was the time to eat, he would sat on the Gryffindor table and focused on his food. And if he sensed Cedric was trying to approach him, he would stuffed the rest of his food fown his throat before excusing himself to the library. Whenever he was on his free time, he would hide in the Gryffindor's common room.
He have preoccupied himself with the assignments and all sorts, enabling him to put aside his thoughts about Cedric better. Even though it felt wrong and rude, Rey need to recover from the discomfiture that he had. And with the supportive environment -the assignments and the ever-rowdy common room-, Rey was helped tremendously. It was, until, Neville burst into the common room at one Wednesday evening in a state of nervous breakdown.
Neville was a bit more clumsy than the others, hence why he was oftenly targeted by the Slytherins -Professor Snape included-. Professor Snape might hated Harry, but the man abhored Neville much more. He would ridicule Neville on the slightest mistake, to the point that Neville cried in his class once. What the man did? Kept yelling at the boy of course.
The Potions lesson last yesterday didn't fair any better, as Neville -under the state of pure anxiety- managed to melt six cauldrons in a matter of two hours. Professor Snape, being himself, did not help Neville at all or even pointed out on which step did the Gryffindor go wrong. Instead, the man opted to berrated poor Neville and gave him detention.
Rey, altough still a bit upset with how Neville avoided him after reading Skeeter's writing, couldn't help himself but to sympathize with the boy. Knowing how hard it was to follow the list of complicated instructions, and with how he could literally feels Neville's ever-present anxiety, made Rey felt bad for the boy. Even now, with how Neville was in the brink of tears, made his gut twisted in a more unpleasant way than usual.
"Neville, You'r 'right mate?" Seamus inquired, shifting his attention away from the jenga tower he and Dean was playing at.
"Not so..." Neville gave a negative response. His voice broke as he stared at his fingernails, only to realize that there were a few toad guts stuck underneath them.
"Want some snack?" Seamus handed a bag of mini pretzels that Dean brought. Speaking about Dean, the boy now was sneakily pushing one of the tower's feet a few inches to the left. What was he doing that for?
"No thanks, Seamus." Neville cried happily when Hermione helped him by teaching a scouring charm, effectively removing one of the toad guts from under one of his fingernails.
"All right. Just join us later if you want?" Seamus gestured before playing for his turn.
Dean, who was having a hard time covering his sly smirk, fell into a full blown laughter when the tower fell with Seamus's slightest touch. Seamus, who was quick to realize of what Dean have done, starting to throw some mini pretzels at the lanky boy.
Having a few bits of crushed mini pretzels landed on his hair, Rey quickly left the room. He didn't want his hair to become crushed pretzels bush, so he opted to take a shower before bed. But just when he was about to take his bathing essentials from his room, Gerralt called him over.
"What is it, Gerralt?" He questioned. The seventh year looked like a mess, as if he was just had a good and long nap.
"Well..." His eyes misted over, "Don't forget that the club would start next week."
"Okay... Would it be just like the previous year?"
"Yes, every day." Gerralt yawned. "Looks like the Durmstrang boys were quite... ardent to join our school's club. Dunno about the Beauxbatons tho."
