When a God falls for you [Zhongli x Reader]

Is this.. my last goodbye?

Tsaritsa walks to the door and unlocks it with her keys. You curiously watch every move she does to see who's at the door.
»who would come to us at this hour?« she mumbles while slowly opening the door. Both of you, Tsaritsa and you are suddenly completely quiet and frozen in place as you recognize who it is.

It's Zhongli.

No one of you three is saying a word for a couple moments - all there is is just blank staring. But Zhongli's stare is cold and furious - you can see it.

»Morax, I didn't expect you here~« Tsaritsa finally says, placing her hands on her hips. But Zhongli doesn't answer. All he does is stare at you with a comforting but also frightening look.

»Give her to me. Now.« Zhongli says, then looking at Tsaritsa.

»You know what you did, and I better hope for you that you're here to make it good again. She's sick, just because of you.«

Zhongli growls slightly and looks back at you. You can see his craving for you - it terrifies you a bit. You have never seen him so angry before.

»Come with me, y/n« Zhongli calls on you, but you still stand still, not moving an inch of your body. Zhongli notices your scared face and directly turns to Tsaritsa again.

»Let her go or I will-«

»Oh, I'm not keeping her in here. If she wants to go with you, she freely can.« Tsaritsa says, taking a step aside.

»Y/n! What are you waiting for? Come on! Come with-«

»How about.. you let her decide about what she wants to do?«

»w- What?!« Zhongli confused says, looking at you. He then suddenly steps over the door sill and wants to walk to you, but as he comes closer, you make steps backwards. Zhongli then freezes as he sees your defending position towards him.

»y- y/n?« he mumbles, not knowing what was happening.

»y/n, you have the choice. You either go with him now.. or you stay with us. By now you should know what's the better option~« Tsaritsa sassily says. You look back at her and your mind begins to twist knots and even more knots - this can't be happening right now.

»y/n-«

»s- stay away from me« you slowly say to Zhongli. You can see how deeply hurt he is by those words - but it doesn't matter to you. What you're saying to him is not even half the amount of pain and despair he gave you - with the mark, with your brother... with your heart.

»Hmm.. It seems like she's not willing to come with you.. how devastating.« Tsaritsa says, looking at Zhongli who is just standing there with a shocked face.
»There you have your answer. Anyways, It's good that you're here already now. You will take that thing off her neck before you leave, now.«

Zhongli flashes around to face Tsaritsa and wants to attack her, but she just blocks his attack with an ice barrier. Zhongli gets thrown back by that and lands on the ground.

»Zhongli!!« you suddenly shout, but then you instantly cover your mouth with your hands again. Zhongli instantly looks up again to you, but Tsaritsa also looks at you with a kind of annoyed face.

»what, y/n? Are you scared that he might get hurt? Don't you remember what he did to you??« she says.

»I... I do. I do remember.« you slowly reply and look to the ground.

»Good. Then let's get this done first. Morax, or Zhongli if you prefer, do your duty. Erase the mistake you made - you know it will kill her if you won't, I don't think you want that to happen to your precious little bird~«
