»what a shame..« you quietly say. »my journey didn't had to end here - but at least they saved my brother. That's.. not all I wanted, but all I needed.«

»what more do you want?« a voice replies to your whispering.

»to be with him.. only one more time.« you sadly say, thinking your own consciousness is talking to you - and you finally open your eyes to see what strange place death may have took you to.

»well..« you hear the voice say again and suddenly see a blurry outline of a person laying next to you.
»Why wouldn't you be able to do so?« you see the person next to you saying - you see your friend next to you saying.

You gasp and rip your eyes wide open and rush up from the pillow you've been resting on.
»JEAN!!!« you shout in disbelief, looking up and down at your friend, trying to see if this is actually real.

But Jean interrupts all your asking and just gives you the greatest hug you ever had in a long time.

»I.. I can't believe it« you whisper.

The curtains are beautifully decorating the big windows in the room you're laying in. The sun is softly shining through them, showering it in a light orange tone. Small dust particles are flying around in the sunlight, looking like little sparks from a campfire in the night, the old books in the shelves around you give a slight vintage look to this and in the middle of all this, you're sitting with Jean wrapped around you, and -
everything feels.. okay,
everything.. feels at peace.

Jean lets go of you again and also looks at you with a bright smile.
»I see that you're doing better now, but y/n.... You gave us all the biggest heart attack with what happened!! Please.. If you ever need help again, take us with you. We're your family - and we'll always need you as a part of it.«

You chuckle. »But Jean, look, I made it! I defeated the Fatui and-«
But suddenly, the smile in your face fades again.

»..and I found my brother..«

»Oh y/n, why making such a face?« Jean says, lifting your chin up again.
»Aether! Come in!« she then suddenly shouts.

You hear the door slowly opening behind you two. Like in slow motion you turn around - and see your brothers smiling face, glowing in the sunlight.

»Slept well, y/n?«

»Aether!!« you shout and jump out of the bed directly sprinting towards him and into his arms.
»Aether!! You're back!! You're here!!«

The tears running down your face show how indescribable happy you are to have him again. You two have been separated for so long - and now, finally, the two missing pieces found back to each other.
Aether's face also shows his endless amount of happiness.
»y/n.. I've missed you, so so much« he cries.

»Aether, how did you- what happened? I can't believe you're.. okay? You have to tell me everything!! What-«

»Careful!« Jean interrupts you. »You're still in a weak state, don't take too much on you«

»Wha- Oh, it's fine, Jean. Thank you for worrying - but you really don't have to« you reply with a sweaty smile.

»I.. well, I'm still going to look after you and stay by your side till you're fully recovered« she smiles back at you.
»But if you don't mind... there are also other people outside waiting for you~«
