When a God falls for you [Zhongli x Reader]

Late night hours

»This is.. a really nice place..! Does it belong to you?« You asked stunned.
»I hoped you would like it, y/n. It's an old house of mine but which I never really lived in myself. I often gave it to people who needed a place to stay. I only now could suggest it as a new place for you because a couple lived in here till a few days ago.« Zhongli says.

The house was simple, but still looked elegant and felt really comfortable. The light brown wooden floor fitted perfectly to the white walls and grey sliding doors. The house had small round windows in most rooms, decorated with fake- but real looking flowers.

»I can show you around, if you want. But first, I would suggest to head to your bedroom so you can store your stuff there and not carry it around with you longer. You had a hard day today.«

»Okay, that sounds like a good idea!« you say, already rushing through the corridor.

»Wait y/n! It's-« Zhongli calmly shouts, but you were already gone, checking every single room out.
"Hmpf.. why is she so quick.. She should really rest more with all the things that have happened- she's just a mortal, after all." He thinks to himself.

As Zhongli begins to follow you, one room catches your eye: different than from the others, this one had a huge glass-sliding-door which leads to a small balcony outside. You step inside and let your luggage fall to the ground.
Through this door you can see the moon and all of the stars in the sky - the ocean - the mountains - and a bit of liyue harbour. »Wow« you mumble.
This view is one of the most beautiful you ever got to see in Teyvat.

»I- I'm taking this one!!« you call out in excitement to Zhongli, who steps right after you into the room.

»But.. there are also other nice rooms in here, if you prefer to take a look at them first.«
»No no, this one is perfect.« you say, glazing out in amazement.

The last sunshines hit your beautiful s/c face, making it sparkle and your h/l h/c hair shine really pretty. Your e/c eyes reflecting the sky - it looks like you gathered a whole universe inside of them. The amazement - the happiness you show - Zhongli looks at you. He feels the same feeling that you felt when he carried you through the Harbour last night - but he still doesn't know what this feeling is or what it means, after all. So it doesn't really bother him - yet.

»Sooo.. can I have it? Oww please please Zhongli!«
you beg.

Zhongli snaps out of his thoughts. »Uh, yeah, sure y/n.« he slightly smiles back.

»Thank you!! You're really being so kind to me!« you say, giving him a tight hug. Zhongli feels his face getting warmer.
"huh, what is this..?" he thinks to himself - he's blushing.
"Oh no, what if he thinks I'm a weirdo for acting like that?!?" you thought, quickly stopping to hug him.
»Oops, my bad, I didn't want to make you uncomfortable or anything, ehe..« you awkwardly smile at him.

»Ahem, I'll get my stuff to my room then as well. Make yourself at home, y/n. We'll meet up in the kitchen then to discuss our next course of action.« Zhongli says, leaving your room. You also notice that you finally have a room for yourself.

"But.. it's already so late.. and-"
...
"-Why was he.. blushing?" you then suddenly question yourself. 
...
»Well, He's probably just not used to human affection since he acts so weird sometimes, haha.« you finally wipe it off with this thought.

Your POV

After you stored all your stuff and put some fresh new sheets on your bed, you noticed that it was already really dark outside - and late with that as well.
You head to the corridor and then in the kitchen, but Zhongli wasn't there yet.
"Huh, I thought that I took long to make my room.."
You didn't even know which room Zhongli took yet, so you searched through every room. When you finally found him and his room, you stopped, wondering.

Zhongli laid on his bed, one arm resting over his head. He looked like he had some sort of headache or something.
»Are you okay?« you slowly ask
»Yes«, he sat up, »I was just.. sorting my mind«
Sorting his mind? What was that suppose to mean?
»Is there something bothering you? You've been acting-« It comes out of you curiously.
»No, it's fine. Let's head to the kitchen then«

What?

»But it's already dark outside Zhongli, can't we do that tomorrow? I don't know«, you say, »I'm a little... exhausted«.

As you're saying this, you start to feel a little bit dizzy and nearly about to fall - when Zhongli was already there to catch you.

»Hmpf.. I.. I'm sorry I'm-...«
»Shh, it's all good, I got you. Don't worry«

Wow. He is so.. kind and caring

He picks you up and brings you to your bed, placing a blanket over you and tucking you in. This sudden unexpected move made your cheeks turn slightly red - you look really really sweet if we're being honest (Author's note) ;)

»I'm sorry, maybe it was an after effect of the Mark or something.. but it's fine really. I'm just glad I have this thing off of me. Thank you, Zhongli.« you smiled.
»You should get some rest then, y/n.« he says. »But I'll stay here with you first. When something like this should happen again, I'm going to be here to help.«
You suddenly start to blush.

»Ehhhrm i- it's really fine I- I'm doing great, I'll be fine on my own :)« you don't hesitate to say
"Oh my barbatos, I can't let him sleep here with me.. not after all these feelings which I got because of him and which make my heart go crazy" you think to yourself.

»No. I'm going to stay here.«

BIHH- HELLO UHM

»Don't worry. I don't sleep much anyway. I'm going to sit on the balcony outside so I can keep an eye out for you« he adds.

"Well", you think, »alright I guess.......«
You get up to go to the bathroom wanting to change into some more comfortable clothes before sleeping. Zhongli, who stood on the balcony, suddenly comes back in, rushes towards you and grabs your arm.

»Zho-Zhongli??«
