Maya walks back in with a gigantic smile on her face
"What's gotten you so happy?" Cruz asks
"I just spoke to Grissom and he has signed me up to take the chiefs test!" Maya says shocked
"That's amazing Captain!" Cruz says smiling
"Congratulations Maya!" Kelly says pulling her in for a hug
"I can't believe it! I honestly can't!" Maya says still shocked
"Are you guys going to the Galla tonight?" Boden asks walking in
"I kinda have to!" Maya says smiling
"Right okay! I expect you all to be there!" Boden says before walking away
It's later that night and Maya is getting ready for the Galla . She is wearing a beautiful white dress. She is halfway through doing her makeup when Kelly arrives
"How do I look?" Kelly asks
"Very handsome!" Casey says
"That's questionable!" Maya calls out as she laughs
"Very funny!" Kelly says smiling
Maya throws on her dress and shoes then opens the door
"You look beautiful!" Casey says shocked
"Thank you Mr.Casey!" Maya says as she laughs
They all head out and drive to the venue. They walk in and are greeted by the waiter
"Names please?" The waiter asks
"I'm Captain Maya Avery! This is Luitenent Kelly Severide and Luitenent Matthew Casey!" Maya says smiling
"Ahh with firehouse 51! Right this way!" The waiter says smiling
He shows them to their table and everyone is sitting. They chat for a while until it's time for the ceremony
"Good evening everyone! I hope you are all having a great night! Now I don't want to talk too much so I'm gonna get straight into it! I would like to welcome Captain Maya Avery to the stage!" Grissom says as everyone cheers
Maya gets up and everyone at 51 is looking a little confused
"Hey everyone! So as you know I'm the captain on squad 3 and it's the best job in the world! So when Grissom asked me to be here tonight I'm not gonna lie I struggled with what to say but eventually it came to me!" Maya says smiling
"What is she doing?" Kelly whispers
"I have no clue!" Casey whispers back
"I'm extremely lucky to work at 51 but even luckier to work alongside Luitenent Casey and Luitenent Severide! They are so hard working and never let anything get in their way of a heroic save! They play a big part in our firehouse and are very patient! I've never met calmer people I could learn a thing or two from them!" Maya says as the audience laughs
"So it's my pleasure to announce for the first time! Captain Casey and Captain Severide!" Maya says as they all cheer
