Maya gets called into bodens office along with Kelly and Casey
"What's up chief?" Maya asks
"You three have been asked to attend an officers conference!" Boden says enthusiastically
"Great! When?" Kelly asks
"Tomorrow!" Boden answers
"One last thing though! Maya will be the only squad captain there! As she is the only one out of the firehouses that are going!" Boden says smiling
"Wow! What an honour!" Maya says sarcastically
Kelly smiles before they walk out
It's the next morning and Harper is driving to the conference with Kelly and Casey in the car.
"So it's a left here!" Kelly says pointing
"No it's a right!" Casey says
"I'm pretty sure it's left!" Kelly says as he turns around to face Casey
"It says here that is right!" Casey says looking at the map in his hands
"Shut up you two! I'm already being made to spend 2 days with you both!" Maya says annoyed
"Weren't you married to Casey for like 2 years?" Kelly asks
"That's besides the point!" Maya says as Casey and Kelly laugh
They finally arrive and get out of the car. Maya looks around at all of the officers
"This is gonna be fun!" Maya says sarcastically
"Oh come on! Be positive!" Casey says nudging her shoulder
They walk over to a group of guys
"Ahh you must be from firehouse 51!" The guy says
"I'm Grant Evans! Luitenent on truck 79!" Grant says enthusiastically
"I'm Matthew Casey! Luitenent on truck 81!" Casey says smiling
"I'm Kelly Severide! Luitenent on engine 51!" Kelly says
"Oh I didn't know you brought one of your men with you?" Grant says looking at Maya
"Oh!" Maya says but someone interrupts her
"Is the squad Captain here yet? I wanna introduce myself to him! I would love to be on his squad!" Another firefighter says enthusiastically
"This is Ben Downey! Luitenent on engine 34" Grant says
"I thought this was only an event for officers?" Ben says confused
"It's is why?" Kelly asks
"Why did you bring one of your men with you?" Ben says looking at Harper
"Actually" Casey says before Maya cuts him off
"I'll handle this one Casey!" Maya says looking at Ben and Grant surrounded by other firefighters
"I'm Maya Lewis! Captain on squad 3!" Maya says with a smirk on her face
Grant and Ben start to laugh followed by the other firefighters
"Great joke! Now where is he?" Ben asks
"Right here!" Maya says
"Wait! You were being serious?" Grant says confused
"Yep!" Casey says
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" Ben says
"Yeah! We didn't know!" Grant says quietly
"Of course you didn't" Maya says walking away
