"Have you even spoke to him yet?" Matt asks luring himself a coffee
"Who?" Maya asks knowing fine well who Matt is talking about
"Come on Maya" Casey says as he looks at her
"No I haven't!" Maya says looking down
"You need to talk to him, clearly your blaming yourself for this." Casey says
"We're gonna be late! I'll meet you in the car!" Maya says as she grabs her things and walks out
Casey sighs before heading out himself
They then drive to the firehouse and Maya walks in. Casey meets Capp and Cruz on his way in
"How's she holding up?" Cruz asks
"Not too great" Casey says as he watches Maya walk in
"It must have been hard" Cruz says
"Yeah, Especially when Kelly's blood splattered all over her face" Capp adds
"It did?" Kelly asks confused
"Yeah? Kelly was standing right in front of her when he got shot?" Cruz says
"She told me he was at the other side of the truck? And that she was the first to respond?" Casey says confused
"I don't know who told you that but I saw what happened" Cruz says before they walk back in
Casey then rushes into Mayas office
"What's up?" Maya asks as Casey closes the door
"Your not going anywhere until you tell me what really happened! I know what you told me was an utter lie! So spit it out!" Casey says firmly
Maya takes a long pause before taking a deep breath in
"Everyone was talking and cleaning up" Maya says staring into space
"Kelly walked over and told me something about the truck I can't remember what it was" Maya says as her eyes fill up with tears
"It's okay" Casey says as he smiles softly at her
"Someone screamed and I turned around and saw someone holding something in the bushes" Maya says as she dabs her eyes with her sleeves
Casey walks over and sits in the chair in front of Maya
"Then I felt something splatter on my face and saw Kelly clutch his shoulder and fall to the ground" Maya says as her voice breaks with pain
"It's okay, your doing great sweetheart" Casey says calmly
"I did all that I could to save him and then he got taken away. I then noticed the blood on my jacket and stuffed it in my car, I haven't had the guts to get it out yet" Maya says as she wipes her tears and looks at Casey
Casey walks up to her and holds her close
"It's all gonna work out, I promise" Casey whispers
