It's a few days after the high rise call and Maya is heading into work. There has been some word about a virus that is taking the world by storm. However it would never effect Maya as she would still go to work. She walks in to see everyone crowding around boxes
"What's going on?" Maya asks
"We have to wear masks now! If we're not running into a burning building!" Kelly says
"Wow! This thing must be serious" Maya says looking at the masks
"Hey guys! Come see this!" Mouch shouts as they all run in
"That's 1000 people dead in the us from the coronavirus! And 1500 positive cases have been confirmed in the last 3 days" The lady on the news says
"People are being urged to stay at home apart from key workers. Likes of firefighters and doctors" The man next to her says
"Wow!" Herman says shocked
"That's a lot of cases! Aren't you guys the tiniest bit worried?" Maya asks
"Only if we have family at home" Casey says as everyone looks at Herman
"The kids are working from home and I have to shower as soon as I come home" Herrmann says
"If you need a place to stay I have 3 extra bedrooms! That goes for all of you!" Maya says as she smiles
Maya is walking out when she hears Boden and Herman call out her name
"What's up guys?" Maya asks
"About those rooms? Could we take you up on that offer?" Boden asks
"Sure! The rooms are ready to go and they all have bathrooms and closets! Just pack up your stuff and come by!" Maya says as she smiles
"Your a star!" Herrmann says giving her a hug
"Squad 3, Ambulance 61, Person trapped, 78th street" The intercom says
Maya runs out and they drive to the scene. They all put their gloves and masks on. When they jump out the truck they can see a man who is stuck in a drain.
"Cruz get me the ladders! Capp get me some rope! Tony get those people away from here!" Maya shouts
They all go and do their jobs until Cruz comes back with the ladders. Maya makes the ladders into an arch shape and ties the rope onto the ladders. She then ties the ropes to the man so he is stable. They cut the drain and pull him out. Ambo takes him away and as they are clearing up Maya notices that Capp has been coughing a lot
"You okay over there Capp?" Maya shouts
"Yep!" Capp says as he coughs
"I'm not chancing it! Go home and get a test!" Maya says
"You got it Captain!" Capp says followed by a coughing fit
