It's a month later and Maya is officially 6 and a half months along. She has had no complications and everything looked good at her last scan. She is trying to find the perfect way to tell Casey. She thought about going down the firefighter route but she thought that was too original
"Ugh! Why is it so hard to find the perfect way to announce this?!" Maya says as she scrolls through Pinterest
"Your daddy's gonna be very happy when he finds out about you my little rainbow baby!" Maya says as it finally hits her
Maya rushes out and buys all of the things that she needs. She has decided to go with the rainbow baby route and she sets everything up. An hour later Casey walks in
"Hey!" Casey says smiling
"Hey! How was work?" Maya asks
"You were there?" Casey replies confused
"Oh yeah sorry!" Maya says smiling
"It must be the baby brain!" Maya mutters
"What?" Casey asks
"Oh nothing! Come sit down for a sec!" Maya says as she lays the seat next to her
"Okay" Casey says as he comes and sits down next to her
"I have a surprise for you!" Maya says smiling
"What is it?" Casey asks
"Close your eyes!" Maya says as Casey closes his eyes
Maya hands him the picture(see above) and Casey opens his eyes
"No way!" Casey says with tears in his eyes
"Yes way! You gonna be a daddy!" Maya says smiling
"Come here!" Casey says as he picks Maya up and spins her around
"How far along are you?" Casey asks putting her down
"6 and a half months! Which means I'm out of the miscarriage zone!" Maya says as Casey puts his hands on her belly
"I can't wait to meet you little one!" Casey says as he smiles
It's the next day and Maya is trying to figure out how to tell Kelly. She wants to tell him before the firehouse as he has been like a brother to her. Her and Casey had discussed that if they ever got pregnant that Kelly would be the godfather. Maya and Casey are standing in the kitchen when Kelly comes out
"Hey Kelly! Come sit down for a sec!" Maya shouts as Kelly wanders in
"What's up?" Kelly asks
"Are you busy the next few months?" Maya asks
"How long are we talking?" Kelly replies confused
"Like 4 months?" Casey replies
"I don't think so! Why?" Kelly asks
"Well we're gonna need you to fill in at some godfather duty's!" Maya says as she pulls out the ultrasound picture and places it in front on him
"No way! Congratulations Maya! I knew you could do it!" Kelly says pulling Maya into a hug
