It's the next morning and Kelly and Casey have woken up to an empty room. They both look at each other and start to panic. Kelly runs out
"Maya Casey! Do you know where she went?" Kelly asks
"She's just away for some scans don't worry!" The nurse says smiling
"Oh okay! Thanks!" Kelly says before letting out a sigh of relief
Kelly walks back in to see Casey staring into space
"He man! I'm sorry for last night! I overreacted!" Kelly says smiling
"It's all good! We're all struggling with Maya being ill" Casey says as he hears a familiar voice
"I'm not sick!" Maya says weakly as the nurse pushes her back into her room
"Maya!" They both call out
The nurses make sure Maya is comfortable before walking out and Kelly and Casey sit at both sides of her
"Have you been crying?" Maya asks weakly
"No!" Kelly says smiling
But Casey stays quiet
"I'm gonna call the firehouse!" Kelly says getting up and walking out
"You've been awfully quiet. What's going on?" Maya asks reaching out her hand as Casey holds it
"I'm just glad to have you back! That's all!" Casey says with tears in his eyes
"I love you! You know that?" Maya says closing her eyes
"I love you two" Casey says as Maya drifts off to sleep
It's a few hours later and Maya wakes up to the whole of 51 gathered in her room
"Hey kid!" Herrmann says smiling
"There's my favourite captain!" Cruz says as Kelly shoots him a look
"What? Your not a captain yet Severide!" Cruz says as he laughs
"Yeah! Hold on to your horses there Kelly!" Herrmann says as everyone laughs
"What?" Herrmann says not getting the joke
"The expression is hold your horses!" Cruz says laughing
"Yeah bud it's not hold onto your horses!" Mouch says putting a reassuring hand on Herrmanns shoulder
"Leave Herrmann alone" Maya says as she smiles
"See I knew I liked you the most!" Herrmann says smiling
"It's good to have you back Maya!" Boden says walking over and standing next to Mayas bed
"I was never gone!" Maya says looking up at him
They all stay and talk for ages until they all go home. Casey runs home to grab a few things for Maya but Kelly stays at the hospital
Kelly is smiling at Maya but doesn't quite realise that he is
"Your staring Severide!" Maya says
"Sorry! It's just I thought I had lost you!" Kelly say smiling
"You've not lost me! I need to keep you out of trouble" Maya says as they both laugh
