Maya heads back to work shocked at what she has just been told. Her face has gone pale and she heads straight to caseys quarters and knocks on the door
"Come in!" Casey shouts
"Hey!" Maya says with a shaky voice
"What's up?" Casey says kind of concerned
"Nothing! I'm great!" Maya says
"Okay?" Casey replies
"Quick question!" Maya says enthusiastically
"Yeah?" Casey says turning around to face Maya
"How many kids do you want? Even if it's not with me?" Maya asks
"Well it's up to my partner! As it's their body! But I would love 2 or 3!" Casey says smiling
"Oh!" Maya says knowing she can't have kids never mind 3
"Why?" Casey asks
"Just wondering! I'll let you get back to the incident report!" Maya says as she walks out
She closes the door and lets out a big sigh before walking into her quarters. She sits on the bed and breaks down. As she is mid crying Kelly walks in
"Hey Maya I was just" Kelly says as he looks up from the papers he's carrying
"What's up?" Kelly asks rushing to her side
"I can't have kids Kelly!" Maya blurts out
"I'm so sorry Maya! Have you told Casey yet?" Kelly asks taking her hand
"I can't! He wants 3 kids and I can't give him one! He's already been through loosing one kid! I can't put this on him!" Maya says whilst sobbing
"You need to be honest with him Maya! You can't go through this alone!" Kelly says smiling
"I know! I will! Just when I'm ready! I haven't even processed this yet!" Maya says wiping her tears
"Okay! Your gonna be fine! And your times not over yet! Your gonna make a great mum one day! No matter how you do it!" Kelly says before he walks out
Maya sits and thinks for the rest of shift. She doesn't say a word to anyone and Casey is getting a bit concerned. She races out of the firehouse at the end of shift and drives home. She then hears a knock
"Casey?" Harper says as she answers it
"What's going on?" Casey says letting himself in
"What do you mean?" Maya asks
"You have been avoiding me all day! Is it because of gabby? I don't have feelings for her anymore Maya!" Casey shouts
"I can't have kids Matt!" Maya shouts
"What?" Casey says calmly
"I'm sorry! I should have told you sooner! I just couldn't face the embarrassment!" Maya says sitting on her couch
"Maya! It doesn't matter! We're going to be great together parents or not!" Casey says sitting next to her
"But I know how much you wanna be a dad!" Maya says laying her head on his shoulder
"I know! Shhh!" Casey says as he strokes her hair
