ANNABELLE LUPIN-BLACK TIME JUMP: 1 WEEK
There are officially only 2 days of school left. I'm so glad this year of hell is almost over.
I sat down with Julia and Alexa and Alexa nudged me. I looked up and Julia wasn't eating. "Jules, you gotta eat." I said. "I'm not hungry," she said. "Come on Jules, this isn't what he would want for you" I said. "You don't know what he would want because he is dead!" she yelled. Everyone looked at us and she got up and left. "I'll go talk to her," Alexa said. I nodded.
I wasn't hungry either so I just left. I know I should eat, I haven't in days. I just can't.
I'm getting exceptionally good at avoiding Remus. And Draco. Though Draco is getting harder to avoid. We both know it.
"Annabelle!" Draco yelled as I walked down the hall. I sped up. "Anna, wait!" he yelled. I went faster, turning corner after corner. "Daliah, stop!" he shouted as he grabbed me. He dragged me down the hall. "Bloody hell Draco!" I exclaimed, pushing him away. "Don't grab me like that...ever." I said. He rubbed his temples and shook his head. "I'm sorry ok, but you've been avoiding me and I need to talk to you." he said. "I haven't been-" I started to lie. "Don't fucking lie to me." he said. "I'm not." I said playing dumb. "You are. You haven't checked in in days." he said. I shrugged. "Nothing to say." I said. "Cedric died, you find out your dads lied to you your whole life, and your real father tortures you and you have nothing to say?" he asked. "Correct." I stated. "No. Nope. You don't get to do this. You promised you would stay alive for Theo." he said. "I'm not dead am I?" I said. "No but you are damn sure on your way. I can smell the firewhiskey on you right now." he said. "Drinking isn't on the list- '' I started. "It is now. Officially. No more drinking. I know what you are trying to pull and I won't let you." he said. "You know what, fuck this. Fuck this deal and this keeping each other alive. It doesn't matter. Nothing, does. I'm so tired of living while everything just falls apart." I said. "But Theo is-" he started. "Theo is better off without me." I asked. "You don't mean that," he said. "I do. The deal is off. I can't do this anymore. I can't keep living this never ending nightmare." I yelled. "Please Annabelle. You can't give up, not yet." he said. "No. I tried Draco. I tried. At first, it was just Donovan. I thought I could get past that. I thought I could survive. But then Cedric died. And then I found out that my dads lied to me about everything. They were the one thing in my life I thought would always be the same. My dads. They would love me and take care of me forever. But it was all a lie. I'm not strong enough Draco. I'm not Harry. I'm not immortal. I can't do this." I cried. He grabbed my hands and I looked at him. "You have to." he said. I shook my head. "I can't Draco. I just can't. Please, just let me go." I said. "No. I said no and I meant it. Theo isn't the only one who needs you. Blaise loves you, Pansy loves you. Fuck Anna, I love you. You are my family too." he said. He pulled me into a tight hug. "If you need strength, I'll give you strength. If you need forgiveness, I'll give you forgiveness. If you need love, I'll give you love. Whatever you need, I'll give it to you. But only if you stay." he said. I buried my face in his chest.
