DRACO MALFOY

"Do it!" Amycus yelled. I stared at the face of the innocent woman in front of me. She was a muggle. They simply grabbed her off the streets to be used for my training. She never hurt anyone and now I was being taught the cruciatus curse and she was the object of the toture. "You hesitate. Still. Even after the honor of the mark at such a young age, you are hesitant. It's a disgrace." Amycus said. "She's innocent! I can't-" I started. "Crucio" Alecto said. The light hit me and pain overwhelmed my body. I hit the floor screaming and I couldn't breathe. I heard their laughter and then the spell broke. I gasped for air and Amycus grabbed my hair and yanked my head up to face him. "You are weak, just like your parents." Alecto spat. "Shut up!" I yelled.
This went on for another hour. I was forced to torture that woman and whenever I stopped or failed, they tortured me. They only stopped because I started coughing blood. The Dark Lord refused to let them cause me any permanent damage that could impair my usefulness. I wish they would just kill me. I can't do a whole summer of this. That's 2 ½ months. And today... Today is the first day the Greengrass girls have to "fix me". That's worse than any torture. After the torture, it was time for my legilimency and occlumency lessons. I sat in my room and drank a healing potion while I waited. I didn't know who would be conducting these lessons but anyone would be better than the Carrow siblings. I heard a knock and he walked in.

"Professor Snape?" I said in surprise. "Hello, Mr. Malfoy." he said. It all made sense now. I always had a feeling about him but now... Now I was sure. "It's you. I should have known." I said, chuckling to myself. "Yes, I'm sure you've deciphered my exact plan, haven't you?" he said sarcastically. "No. I just- I always had a feeling you were a death eater. There were rumors and my father always said..." I trailed off. I shrugged. "I'm simply here to teach you legilimency and occlumency. That's all." he said. I scoffed. "Whatever you say." I mumbled. He raised an eyebrow. "Do you have something to say?" he said sharply. "Nope, nothing." I said. Then we began. He taught me how to put up walls and find an anchor. I was pretty good at it. "That's enough for today. I'll admit, you are much better than I anticipated." he said. I nodded. "I've been putting up walls long before legilimency was an issue, Professor." I muttered. He looked at me once more and then he left. 2 ½ months. I should've drowned myself in the lake. I had only been laying down for a few minutes when I heard a soft knock. "Come in mum" I said. She walked in with a small smile. "How'd you know it was me?" she asked. "You knock softer than father. And you actually wait for an answer." I said. She nodded and sat down. "The Greengrass girls will be here in an hour. You should clean up and get ready." she said. I just nodded. "Draco, you know if there was a way for me to help you or stop this, I would do it." she said. "I know mum. It's ok." I said. She forced a smile and left. I rubbed my eyes to stop the tears and got in the shower. I put on a change of clothes and went downstairs. I downed some whiskey and waited. I sat there and waited to be fixed. Fixed, fixed, fixed.

There was a knock and I stood up. My mother opened the door and standing there was Astoria, Daphne and their father. My father and theirs started talking but I just stood there. The two girls just stared at the floor and I noticed them holding hands. Astoria is in my year but Daphne is two years younger than us. She's only 14. Then I saw it. The only thing that made it worse. My father pulled out a little bag of galleons and handed it to their father. I realized it. These girls were being forced just as I was. They were being sold. By their own father. I felt sick. "Draco-" my father snapped. I looked up and they were all looking at me. "Who do you choose?" he asked. I stared at them in horror. "Neither. You can't buy and sell people. They are your daughters. Are you mad?!" I exclaimed. "We are helping to fix you. You should be grateful, you disgusting fagot." their father spat. My face paled. Astoria stepped forward. "Father, it's ok. I'll go. Just please- Daphne can stay here." she said. He shrugged. My father and theirs went to get a drink. I quickly walked over to my mother. "Please watch over Daphne. Her father-" I started. "I know. I will." she said. I nodded. "Thank you." I said. Then we left. Astoria and I were in my bedroom and she shut the door. "Astoria, what are you-" I started. "Listen, your family isn't the only one that the Dark Lord has on lockdown. We all have to do what he says. He wants me and Daphne to do this so please... please can we just get it over with." she said. "Astoria, I'm not going to do this to you." I said. "Please Draco, neither of us have a choice. Let's just do it, ok?" she said. I could hear the panic in her voice and the distraught in her eyes. I simply nodded and she laid on the bed. Then we did it.

The second it was over we both got dressed and went downstairs. The adults spoke more but I just stared at the floor. Daphne took Astorias shaking hand and held it tight. Then they left. I ran to my bathroom and threw up. Then I got in the shower and turned the water as hot as it could go. I took off all my clothes except my boxers and burned them. Then I got in and sat down. I buried my face in my palms and cried. 2 ½ months. It's 2 ½ months.

"Anna!" someone yelled. I heard a knock on the door and my head was pounding. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I surveyed the room and it was a mess. There were bottles and cigarettes everywhere, the windows were closed making it dark and I trashed my bookshelf. Sirius used to read most of the books to me so I tore them from their shelves and now they lay in a pile on the floor. There's broken glass and clothes with blood on them from some "accidents' ' and it's a sight of destruction. I'm wearing a thin grey sweater and pajama shorts. The sleeves cover the bandages on my arms from the cuts and burns. My hair has been in the same messy braid for a while and my eyes are red and puffy from the crying. But who the fuck cares. "Anna! We're coming in!" Dad yelled again. The door opened and I grabbed a bottle of whiskey. "Fucking hell Anna, are you serious?" Remus said. I laughed as my eyes watered. "No, he's dead. Remember? I sure as hell do." I said. My dad went quiet and grabbed the bottle. "You've had enough." he mumbled. I shrugged. "I guess she forgot I was coming." I looked up and Theo stood in the doorway with his trunk. I smiled at him. "Hey" I said. "I'll give you two some time to catch up. Lunch will be ready in a bit." he said. Then he shut the door and left. Theo sat down on the bed and looked around. "Fuck Belle, what are you doing?" he said with a sigh. "I'm fine." I said. He shook his head. "You aren't. Where's this blood from?" he asked, holding up a bloody cloth. I shrugged. "Why did you destroy your books?" he asked. "Dad used to read them to me. I don't want to read them ever again unless it's from dad." I said and I paused.. He stared at me and I could tell he was worried. "But dad's dead so I guess that can't happen. So I don't need them anymore." I said. My voice cracked and my eyes watered. "Belle- you can't" he started. "I'm fine." I repeated. "Why haven't you answered anyone's letters?" he asked. I lit a cigarette and took a long drag. "Nothing to say." I said. "When's the last time you left this house? Or at least your room?" he asked. "What day is it?" I asked. "Friday," he said. "Then I don't know and I don't care." I said. He sighed. "And for the record, I did write back." I said. He furrowed his brow. "When? To whom?" he asked. "Draco. I wanted to talk to him. I needed him. I wrote 3 times and never got a response. I sent a letter to Blaise and Pansy houses too but never got anything in return. So thanks." I said. "Belle, we never got any letters. We would have responded. You have to know that. We are there for you and you know that." he said. "It doesn't matter. I wanted to be alone." I said. He just nodded. "Do- do you want to be alone now?" he asked. "Yes." I said. He forced a small smile. "Ok, Belle. I'll be downstairs." he said. Then he left.
