THEODORE NOTT
As I watched her walk away, my heart ached. When I glanced back at Enzo, he looked furious. Enzo rarely gets angry. I've never seen him like this. He grabbed my arm roughly and dragged me to the hall. "What the fuck was that?!" he yelled. "Piss off, Enzo." I spat. "No! What is wrong with you? Don't you see what you're doing to her?" he asked. "What am I doing to her?" I asked. "She is trying so hard. All the while, she's watching you fall in love with Astoria." he said. My face fell. "She did stop drinking. She hasn't taken a sip in months. She eats, she sleeps, and she doesn't smoke nearly as much. She's trying her fucking best!" he said. "I just saw her drink-" I started. "Because her heart is broken. She loves you and you don't even care. You expect her to be your friend and sit there and be happy while you kiss Astoria in front of her." he said. "I didn't- I don't-" I started. "But she isn't happy. She's miserable but all she cares about is making sure you aren't." he said. "I saw her drink tonight, Enzo." I snapped. "Is that all you care about?!" he yelled. I stared at him. "She probably drank because she couldn't stand watching you with Astoria any longer!" he said. "I like Astoria. Why can't you all just let it be?!" I asked. "Because that's just it. You like Astoria. But you don't love her." he said. I scoffed. "Yes, I do." I said quickly. He gave a sad smile. "Keep telling yourself that." he mumbled. Then he walked back into the party. I took a breath and followed.
When I walked in, Astoria was drinking more champagne. I quickly walked over and took the glass from her hand. "You've had enough, babe." I said. "Give it back!" she snapped. "No, Tori. Let's go, we're going to my dorm." I said. "Why? You think if you fuck me I won't bring up Annabelle?" she said. I sighed and started to pull her out. We got to the hallway and she looked at me with anger. "I saw you talking to her." she said. "I talk to a lot of people, Tori." I mumbled. "You like her, I know you do." she slurred. "Come on, let's get you to bed." I mumbled. We got to Slytherin and I brought her to her dorm. She laid down and I got a glass of water. She took a sip and she looked at me. "You couldn't stop staring at her. I looked perfect tonight and you still stared at her." she said. "Go to sleep, Tori." I said. "No, I won't remember any of this tomorrow. I want to know why-" she started. I sighed. "You don't want me to remember. You want me to go to sleep and forget. That way you don't have to admit it." she said. "Admit what?" I asked. But she was already asleep. She was right. I didn't want her to remember. And she wouldn't. Tomorrow it would be like nothing ever happened.
3 DAYS LATER...
ANNABELLE LUPIN-BLACK"And then Filch dragged him and said Draco was lurking. Snape had to escort him out. It was mad!" Pansy said. I sat on the train and listened to her talk about the rest of the party. "Sounds crazy." I mumbled. "Then Blaise and I slept together." she said quietly. I looked at her quickly. "What?!" I exclaimed. She smiled and bit her lip. "I know, I know. But it just happened." she said. "Was he any good?" I asked. "He's hung like a centaur." she said. I groaned. "Thanks for that image." I said. "You're welcome." she chuckled. "Was it just a one night stand or do you like him?" I asked. Her cheeks turned red and she shrugged. "I don't know. He's my friend. But I could see it becoming something more." she said. "Pans, that's great." I said. "I'm just worried." she said. "Why?" I asked. She looked down and fidgeted. "Pans, what's wrong?" I asked. "It didn't end well between you and Theo. And now you two hate each other and our group isn't like it was before. I don't want to tear us apart anymore than we already are." she said. My heart sank. "I didn't mean to ruin anything-" I started. "No, Anna. It's ok. I just mean, relationships are messy. And Blaise and I are such good friends. Maybe that's better." she said. I nodded. "I think he's sitting with Theo and Astoria, are you ok if I go find him?" she asked. I smiled. "Of course. I'm going to go find Harry." I said. She nodded and left. I stood up and went to find Draco. I needed to check on him before he went back to the Manor. I went to the very back of the train and he was sitting alone in a compartment. I went in and he flinched and whipped around. "It's just me," I said gently. He sighed and sat back down. I sat next to him and ran my fingers through his hair until I felt him relax. "How are you feeling?" I asked. "I have to go tell the Dark Lord that I didn't fix his cabinet and I failed at killing Dumbledore." he said. "I can come with you." I said. He smiled and shook his head. "No, you can't. You need to spend time with your family." he said. "You are my family." I said. He sighed. "You can't make your whole life about me, Anna. I won't be here much longer anyway." he said. My stomach lurched. "Don't say that." I said. He nodded. "Ok, I'll lie," he said. I felt a flash of deja vu. Then I realized how Theo felt when I said that.
