TIME JUMP: 3 DAYS ANNABELLE LUPIN-BLACK
3 days. 3 bloody days. Draco isn't any better. In fact, he might just be worse. He is paler than usual, his hands are always shaking, his teeth are chattering, and he just sleeps. He's only woken up a couple times and only for a few minutes. Theo and I take turns sleeping. We just watch him. The worst part was when he woke up screaming and crying last night. It took an hour to calm him down. I just held his head in my lap and stroked his hair. He hasn't woken up since. I'm furious. I want to kill his father. But first, I want to torture him so he feels some semblance of the pain Draco feels. How did I let this happen? I wish Draco never met me.
"Belle-" Theo said. I was sitting on the couch still, with Draco's head on my legs. "Hmm," I said as I dabbed his head with the wet washcloth. "Why don't you take a break? I can watch him for a while." he said. I nodded. I lifted his head gently and laid it on the pillow. Theo sat down on the chair next to the couch. I went to the kitchen for some water. Dads were sitting in there cooking dinner. "How's Draco?" Sirius asked. "What happened to death eater in training?" I mumbled. "Annabelle-" Remus said. "Don't you mean Daliah?" I snapped. They looked at me with sadness. I sighed. I hated this. I hated being mad at them. But I couldn't get the betrayal out of my head. "I'm sorry for saying that about them." Sirius said. I shrugged. It was quiet and I drank my water. "Do you... Do you want us to call you Daliah?" Remus said, almost choking on his tears. I sighed and closed my eyes.
"No." I said. I looked at them. I couldn't do this anymore. "Why did you lie to me?" I said as my voice cracked and my eyes filled with tears. "We had no choice." Remus said. Tears fell down my cheeks. "You had a choice." I said. "We didn't. In order to get you, we had to maintain the story. That was the deal." Sirius said. "Then after!" I yelled as I slammed my fist on the table. "You got me when I was 6, but you could have told me after. You had 10 years! 10 years to tell me the truth." I said. "We didn't want to hurt you." Remus said. "So you lied. About everything. Then I found out from him. I had to find out the two people I love most lied about everything. Crouch was more honest with me in the hour I spent with him than you have been in 10 years. You made me doubt not only you but myself." I said. They were silent. "You have nothing to say?!" I exclaimed. "We are sorry, but we couldn't tell you." Remus said again. "You're sorry?" I yelled. "You're sorry... I'm sorry too. I'm sorry I trusted you. I'm sorry you adopted me but most of all I'm sorry Draco dragged me out of that damn lake!" I screamed. Their faces dropped. "Belle-" Theo said walking in. I turned around. "Why aren't you with Draco?" I asked. "I'm getting him water," he said quietly. "Oh" I said. He walked over and grabbed a cup and we were all silent. Once he had the water he started to leave, then he stopped at the door and faced us.
"For what it's worth Belle, my parents have lied, cheated, and hurt me in so many ways. But if they apologized and really meant it, I'd forgive them." he said. Then he walked out.
