ANNABELLE LUPIN-BLACK
The world was spinning and we all hit the ground with a thud. "Bloody hell." I groaned. I looked up and saw my dads, Arthur, Amos, and Cedric coming down casually and landing on their feet. "Next time, teach me that dad." I mumbled to Sirius. He chuckled and hugged me. We started walking and I could hear the noise. We all stood at the top of the hill and it was brilliant. People were waving team flags and banners. Some even painted their faces and bodies. "Wicked." Ron said. "This is going to be great." Ginny said. I nudged her and smiled. "Totally." I replied.
We arrived at the tents and Amos and Cedric left for theirs. We got to our small tent and everyone began to file in. The tent was huge on the inside. Harry and I walked in last and he watched in awe. "Amazing, isn't it?" I asked. He smiled. "I love magic." he said. I nodded. "Pick a bunk and unpack everyone." Arthur said. I shared a bunk with Ginny and Hermione. I slept on the bottom and Ginny was in the middle and Hermione was on top. We explored the tent and my dads unpacked. "I wish I could have brought Bex." I said to Remus. "I know kiddo, but that cat is almost as mischievous as the twins. She could get lost or hurt." he said. "I know" I said.
I sat on a couch while everyone unpacked and began to take pictures. I love my muggle camera.
Even though I was raised with magic, my dads and I still love muggle stuff. Every year on my birthday, we go to Muggle London and pick something out. 2 years ago, I got a camera. I bring it with me everywhere I go. "Fred, George, say butterbeer!" I said. They smiled and I snapped a picture. "Harry, picture!" I said. I sighed and rolled his eyes. "You have a thousand pictures of me, do you really need more?" he asked. "Yes, one day I might go broke and I can start selling these." I said. He laughed. "I'm serious, Ron, how much do you think Colin Creevey would pay for one picture?" I asked. "Probably a good 500 galleons." Ron said. I turned back to Harry and smirked. "Told you so." I said. He scoffed. "Fine." he said. He smiled and I snapped another picture. "Kids, get ready, it's time!" Remus called out. I put the strap of my camera over my neck and grabbed my bag. Then we all headed out to the stands to watch the World Cup.
As we climbed what felt like the never ending stairs, I got tired. "I'm getting so tired I might fall asleep by the time we get there." I said to Sirius. "You'll survive kiddo." he said sarcastically. "Blimey dad, how far up are we?" Ron asked. Before Arthur could speak, he was interrupted. "We'll put it this way...if it rains, you'll be the first to know." We all looked down and saw Lucius Malfoy, Draco Malfoy, Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini. "Just great, as if I wasn't annoyed enough." I mumbled to Ginny. "Father and us are in the Minister's Box, by personal invitation of Cornelius Fudge himself." Draco said. I rolled my eyes and stood at the railing. "Malfoy, you're looking greasy as ever. And do you go anywhere without your goons?" I asked. "I could say the same about you. Always backed up by your faggot dads." he spat. "Oh you little-" I started as I drew my wand. "Annabelle, don't." Remus said. Sirius took my wand and I glared at Malfoy. "Come on Anna, let's just go." Harry said as he pulled me away. Then Lucius snapped his cane down on Harry's hand. "Do enjoy yourself, won't you.... While you can." he said. I threw his cane off Harry's hand. "Don't touch him again or I'll hex you and your ferret son." I said. He just smirked at me and they all left. It was strange but I heard Nott talk to Draco as they left. "Mate, why do you always go after her dads like that?" he mumbled. "Why not?" Draco said smugly. "Because nobody thinks like that anymore. And Professor Lupin is everyone's favorite teacher." Nott said. "Not everyones." Draco said. "We are just saying you don't have to be a prat when it comes to that kind of thing. People are gay, it doesn't matter." Blaise said. "Whatever." Draco mumbled. Then they disappeared into the crowd. As we continued to walk up, I was still furious. How dare that little ferret boy talk about my dads like that? After everything they did to help the wizarding world in the war, after what a great teacher my dad is and a great Auror my other dad is. His father is an ex-death eater. He has no right- "Annabelle!" Sirius exclaimed. I looked up as we sat down, my dads on either side of me. "Sorry, I zoned out. What's wrong?" I asked. "We were going to ask that same question." Remus said. "I'm fine." I lied. Sirius gav me a look. "Kiddo, we appreciate you defending us but it's not necessary. People will always make judgements but we choose to ignore it." Sirius said. I sighed. "How? How can you ignore it? Whenever I hear people talk about you guys like that, it makes me want to scream? How do you just not care?" I asked. Sirius smiled. "I just remember that I love your dad and he loves me. And we both love you. Anything else anyone says doesn't matter." Remus said. I nodded and hugged them both. "I still want to hex him." I mumbled. "Sometimes, so do I." Sirius said. Remus nudged Sirius and we laughed. "It's starting!" Harry exclaimed. We all stood up and started cheering as the teams flew out. Then the game began. "Say Butterbeer!" I said. Then I snapped another photo of all of us together.
