Troublemaker

ANNABELLE LUPIN-BLACK

After Charms, Transfiguration, and Ancient Runes, it was time for Defense Against the Dark Arts. I was glad this was my last lesson before lunch. I knew after watching Snape teach the class he stole from my father, I would need a break. Just when I thought I couldn't dislike him anymore, I walked into my dad's classroom and saw him sitting at my dad's desk. Prick. He glanced up as students filled the classroom and I glared at him. Enzo walked over and pulled on my arm. "Come on, Anna. Just sit down." he said with a sigh. I sat down at the back and Enzo sat next to me. "This is my fathers classroom. He has no right-" I started. "Snape already dislikes you. Don't make it worse." he said. I scoffed. "I'm going to make his life a living hell." I snapped. Enzo chuckled. "You're a piece of work." he said. I smirked. Then class began. The classroom that was once full of magic and laughter and old music was now filled with the boring, monotone voice of Severus fucking Snape. He drawled on and on about his lesson plans and some of what we'll be learning this year. "Can anyone tell me where you left off last year?" he asked. I raised my hand. "Miss Lupin- Black?" he said. At least he had enough respect to use my correct last name. "Centaurs." I said. The entire class started laughing. He narrowed his eyes on me. "10 points from Gryffindor. Care to correct your answer?" he asked. "I don't know. Why don't you owl my father? I know you admire him so much." I said. He rolled his eyes as the class snickered. "Does anyone have an actual answer for me?" he asked. Pansy sighed and raised her hand. He nodded at her. "Miss Parkinson?" he said. "The Oppugno Jinx. but we never actually cast it. Umbridge and her theoretical knowledge stuff." she said. "Very well. We'll start there tomorrow. You are all dismissed." he said. Everyone stood up and started gathering their books and heading out. "Sorry, Anna. I didn't want him to yell at you-" Pansy started. "It's fine, Pans." I said. She smiled. "Miss Lupin-Black. Please stay back for a moment." he said. I groaned and Enzo smirked. "Way to go, kid." he said. "Piss off." I grumbled. Everyone left and I walked towards the front.

"You cannot disrupt my class because you are angry." he said. "Or what? Are you going to kick me out?" I spat. He narrowed his eyes on me. I won't tolerate you disrespecting me in front of my class." he said. "Well, they aren't here anymore. So how about I tell you exactly what I think of you, Professor?" I snapped. "Miss Lupin-Black, you cannot-" he started. "How about I tell you I think you are a bastard for taking my fathers position. I know you didn't like him. I know you didn't like my fathers. I know about the pranks and the rivalry. But you are in the Order. I thought you had enough respect for him or at least the cause to refuse the position and tell Dumbledore to give it back to my dad. This school needs him and the students need him. Especially now!" I yelled. He stared at me. "You want to talk to me about the cause?" he said. I clenched my fists. He drew his wand and locked the door and silenced the room. I felt a pit form in my stomach. "What are you doing?" I asked, gripping my wand. "I know you know." he said. My face faltered. "You didn't see me, but I saw you. I'm the reason you aren't dead." he said. "What the hell are you talking about?" I asked. "Malfoy Manor. I saw Bellatrix, torturing you. I stopped her spell, I saved you." he said. My face paled and my stomach lurched. "You know?" I said in shock. "Of course I do." he scoffed. "Did you tell Dumbledore? Did you tell the Order?" I asked, my heart racing. "It's taken care of." he said. "It's taken care of." I repeated. I stared at him, dumbfounded. "Did you tell Dumbledore? Does he know he's going to die?!" I yelled. "I'm not going to discuss this with you. A child. Your father said-" he started. "Don't talk about my father!" I yelled back. "Your father doesn't want you involved. He wants you out of the Order until you are of age." he said. "Too late! I'm already involved. I told Draco I would help him." I said. "And you will." he said. "How?" I asked. "By not telling anyone." he said. "I'm not going to keep this secret unless I know you have a plan." I said. He sighed heavily. "Do you?!" I exclaimed. "You are just like Black." he grumbled. My heart ached. "Tell me your plan or I'm going to tell Dumbledore." I said. He narrowed his eyes on me. "Go ahead. He'll tell you the same thing." he said. "Which is?" I asked. "Nothing. He will tell you nothing." he said. I groaned. "My dads were right about you." I said. "Really? What did they say?" he said. "I can't tell you...Snivellus." I said with a smirk. He glared at me. "You insufferable-" he started. "What? Say it!" I yelled. He paused. "Get out. Just get out." he snapped. I scoffed. "Coward." I mumbled. Then I stormed out, knocking over a jar of quills as I left. Fucking coward.
