Only in Heaven

For the first time, I saw him crying and at the same time smiling in heaven.

A tears that scream how he is fine and enduring the pain.

With a smile in his eyes, my man is also crying.

"H-Hindi kita... Maintindihan, Eli. Anong sinasabi mo? I am d-dead. What are you talking about?"

Nanginginig ang mga kamay ko at hinawakan niya 'yon.

"You're only fully unconscious in the earth and God only provide us this chance to finally fulfill the promise we made"

Parang may pumipisil sa puso ko at hindi niya kailanman inalis ang tingin sa'kin.

I let my tears fall down but using his thumb, he wiped it with care.

"My elma, I'm sorry I didn't tell you that I love you since we were young. I'm sorry it took us too long to love each other. My Martha, I want you to know that I will stay as your soul guide no matter where you are, in earth or in heaven. Just remember, that I can hug you when you're alone. I can wipe your tears when you wanted to cry. I can walk with you in the middle of the night. Just don't be afraid, hm? Because wife... I made a vow, that I will stay with you alive or death"

I swallowed hard and suddenly I scream as I felt my heart beating again too loud.

Pero hindi ko 'yon ininda at pinakita ko sakaniyang ayos lang ako.

"Wife, you're not allowed to be here-"

"B-But! But you welcomed me with a smile! Y-Y-You said I'm dead, right? E-Eli... Anong sinasabi mo?! Naguguluhan ako, h-hindi ako mabubuhay! I want here, baby I want here in heaven!"

I scream and cry again like there's infinite tears in heaven.

He swallowed hard and I know this is hard for him but this is worse for me. Ang sakit na sasabihan ako na hindi ako dapat nasa langit. Then, where?!

Where am I suppose to be? Where should I belong?

He caressed my cheek and step one more. He lean his forehead on mine and he cleared his throat.

I was stunned and felt my butterflies having a war in my stomach because of how he steal the distance between us.

He lick his lower lip before one tear fall from his eye, "I-I thought... I'm going to be with you forever in heaven" he whispered and said it in a low voice "I even considered myself as selfish man when I found out you died, I was happy and sad. But everything was written by the fate"

"Nasasaktan ka, nagagalit, nagseselos at nanaginip... Hindi normal sa langit na maramdaman natin 'yan dahil una palang lahat ng meron tayo ay iniiwan natin sa mundo"

And there he answered all my questions that had left in my head.

Inayos niya ang kaniyang tayo, "The fate decided to end our page. I died before you, I know that because I am your soul guide. I know everything about you, but fate can change what we had written in our story. You were dying and there's no donor who could able to offer in order for you to live but in that moment, my heart was still pumping but I had no chance to survive due to the trauma of my body and the damages had caused in my organs. The only thing that left in me, was my heart"

"So, your friend ezrah and my friend joshua, decided to donate my heart to you because they know I will do the same thing. Hindi man ako nagkaroon ng pagkakataon para magdesisyon, alam ng tadhana na kapag dating sa'yo handa akong ibigay lahat, Martha. Kahit pa ang puso ko".
