Chapter 7: “Heroes”

{Dominique’s POV}

“Aww, did I hurt your feelings?” I asked him sarcastically.

He smirked. “No you didn’t baby.”

“Don’t call me baby.” I told him. And he wonders why I don’t like him.

“Fine sexy.”

“Don’t call me that either.”

He grinned. “Whatever you say cutie.”

“Don’t call me cutie.”

“Then what do you want me to call you?” He asked, trying to be polite. I glared at him. “Hey, don’t look at me like that; I’m trying to compromise with you.” he told me.

“Call me by my name.”

“What’s the fun in that?” He asked me with a smile.

“How would you like it if I called you jackass?” I asked.

“That would hurt.” He told me, putting his hand over his heart.

“So then don’t call me cutie or sexy or baby and I won’t call you jackass.” I said.

“It’s a deal babe.” He smirked.

I took a deep breathe. “Don’t call me that either.”

“That wasn’t in the list of what I couldn’t call you.”

“Fine smartass.” I said.

He grinned. “Thank you, I’m glad you noticed my intelligence.”

He was annoying me. “Are we done here?”

“Nope.”

“Why not?”

“Because you didn’t tell me what I did for you to hate me so much.” He said.

“I don’t hate you.” I told him. I was lying.

“I thought you hated me?” He asked. He looked confused.

“Nope, I don’t hate anyone. I just have a strong dislike for you Jack.” I told him, trying to get him to leave me alone.

“So then why do you strongly dislike me?” He asked.

“Because.”

“That’s not a real reason.”

“Because you’re a pain in the ass.”

“Your brother thinks I’m a pain in the ass and he likes me.” He told me. Like I care what Alex thinks.

“That’s good for Alex.” I told him. “I’ll give him a medal later.” I said sarcastically.

“What the hell did I do to you?” he asked me

“Just being you.” I simply said.

“Just being me?” he asked.

“Yup.” I said.

“Why just being me?” He asked

“Because you’re annoying.”

“You’re annoying too.” He said, surprising me.

“Oh really?” I asked him.

“Yeah, you are. Like now.”

“I’m not the annoying one.” I told him. “You’re the one who keeps asking all these questions.”

“Really?!” He asked. He sounded annoyed. Maybe now he‘ll leave me alone.
