Chapter 9: “Return the Favor”

{Dominique’s POV}

I rolled my eyes. What the hell did Jack want with Jason? God, Jack is so damn annoying. I went over and sat down, watching Jack talk to Jason. I hate Jack even more now, in case you couldn’t have guessed already.

While I was trying to kill Jack with my eyes, Alex came and sat next to me.

“Hey.” He said as he sat down. I smiled and nodded, acknowledging him. “So, what are they talking about?” Alex asked, referring over to where Jack and Jason were talking.

“I don’t know.” I said honestly, but I really wanted to know.

Alex nodded, not commenting. “So, I talked to Jack about you…” He said casually.

I turned my attention towards my brother. I was a little disappointed that Jack was still in one piece and Alex had already talked to him. I mean really, come on, what kind of brother wouldn’t kill the guy who called his little sister a bitch?! Alex, of course.

“And?” I asked, trying to move the conversation along.

“He wants to talk to you.” Alex told me.

I sighed. Really, that’s all? “Why?” I asked him.

“Because he wants to say sorry.” he explained.

“Well, I’m not so sure I want to talk to the guy who called me a bitch.” I told him. “And plus I don’t want to talk to him.”

“Just please? He’s not gonna leave me alone until you do.” He begged. “I promise this time if he harasses you or calls you any names I’ll beat him up.” Alex smiled at the end. “Please?” He asked again.

I sighed dramatically, “Is that a promise?” Alex smiled and nodded happily. “Fine.” I told him.

“Okay, I’ll tell him.” Alex smiled, standing up. “He can come back to the house, okay?” He asked.

“Fine.”

Alex smirked and kissed the top of my head, “He’s really not that bad.” He told me.

“Then Alex, why don’t you date him?” I asked him sarcastically.

“Because he’s not my type and plus I like women.” He said with a smirk. “You of all people should know that by now, what kind of sister are you?!” Alex asked me jokingly. Put my arms up innocently. He laughed and the walked away.

I rolled my eyes, laughing to myself. I looked over to where Jack and Jason once stood. Jack had started to walk away and Jason was walking over towards me.

He looked pale, like he had seen a ghost. “Jason, you okay?” I asked with concern.

“W-what? Huh?” He stuttered. “Phst, I’m perfectly fine. Never been better.” Jason said with a smile.

I looked at him funny. “You sure?”

“Yes, I’m fine!” He said a little annoyed.

“Sorry I was just asking.”

Jason’s mood suddenly changed and he sat next to me and pulled me into a hug. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to snap like that.” He said into my hair.

I smiled, “Its fine.”

He smiled as he pulled away and kissed my cheek sweetly. “I can’t wait for our date tonight.” He said quietly.

“Me either.” I smiled. “Its gonna be fun.”
