Autumn's POV
Light.
Bright light.
That's all I see. I vaguely recall falling from something. I don't remember what but I think it was high. I do remember one voice calling something. It was only one word over and over again. I don't remember the word. There was pain for a second, but then it faded away.
Now I am sitting in what looks to be a white room. I am in white cloths. There are no windows nor lights but somehow it is still very bright. There is no one but me. All alone. But I don't mind.
Suddenly someone comes. At first it is just one person then two. They don't look a like. One is male and the other is female. I recognize them from somewhere. They come up to me smiling.
"Welcome home Autumn." The male says. Then it hits me.
"Daddy." I scream like a little girl as I run into his outstretched arms.
"Mom." I say as I hug her too.
But wait? They're dead. Does that mean I am dead?
"Where am I?" I ask.
"Let me show you." My dad says.
Suddenly we aren't in the white room anymore now we are in a gym. Not just any gym my school's gym.
"Do you know where you are?" He asks. I just nod. "This is where it happened. You were on top of a stunt when you fell." The moment plays back in front of me as if I am watching from the crowd. After I fall I see some boy screaming my name.
"After your fall you went to the hospital." Now we are at the hospital. We are in the waiting room. I see the same boy sitting with his head in his lap. Who is that boy? I then go into the hospital room. I see myself on the bed. I see all these people who must love me crying into one another's shoulders. I want to come back but do I want to go through it all again. I don't know.
Once we are back to the white room, my mom tells me that I am here now because my life on earth is over. I don't want it to end. I look down one last time and see the boy laying next to me holding my hand. I turn back to see an outstretched hand for me. I grab it. It is hard but I walk and don't look back.
Then what happens next is surprising. I start to see more color.
"What's happening?" I ask as I feel myself start to slip away.
"Darlin you have been givin a second chance. Use it wisely and know that we love you." My mom says as she slowly fades.
Then the darkness welcomes me back like an old friend.
