I end.
Was I that bad?
Emma and Mckenna both stare at me after I finish my dance. I stand up off of the ground. Emma starts to clap as well as Mckenna. I guess they liked it afterall. They run up and give me a huge hug. We all go back and sit on the bench.
"So, what did you guys think of it?" I ask.
"Wow." Emma states
"I loved it. I think you did amazing. You had such great emotion. I felt like you weren't dancing but rather telling me a story. Like you were this girl who had been through so much and had so many scars. She was tired and worn down. She didn't want to live. But she knew she had to. Then she realized that it was ok to live with visible scars and that she was a survivor. It was just so real. If the judges get that same story you will defiantly be on the team. At least that's what I think. What about you Emma?" Mckenna says
"Wow. Just wow." Emma says
We all start laughing at Emma's lack of words. Oh Emma only you.
"Well thanks guys. It means a lot." I say.
We all start walking home.
"Do you think I will make the team?" I ask
"Of course." Emma says
"I think you have a great chance." Mckenna says.
"I have an idea! We should invite the girls over and have a sleep over. Eli and Luke are gone camping with dad so we have the place to ourselves and mom. What do you think?" Emma asks.
"Sure." I say
"Yes. We could do a spa, hair, nails, and a makeover. This is going to be so much fun." Mckenna practically screams.
We get home quick and run up to mom. She says yes as long as we stay out of her hair and trust me we will. Considering she is pregnant and all. We call Lilly, Madison, and Ramey over to our house. Since tomorrow is Saturday we plan to go shopping.
When the girls arrive we are ready to do makeovers. We start with spa doing it to each other while making small talk about boys, school, and other things until Emma brings up something.
"You guys should see Autumn's audition dance. It is really good."
Thanks emma. Note the sarcasm.
"Lets see it." Ramey says. With a sigh I get up and show them my lyrical dance. Once I was done they all told me how good it was. We continue to do our makeovers. We watch a movie and everyone falls asleep during the movie. I get up and turn the movie off. I look around.
I have a great group of friends that might just might help me through this. Suddenly my depression doesn't seem so big or so hard to conquer anymore.
