Tyler's P.O.V
We just finished the first half of our basketball game. So far so good. I was nervous about the other team but now I'm not. They aren't as bad as I thought. Right now we are up by three points. Hopefully we can keep it up and beat them. The halftime dance is about to come on. I am really excited to see Autumn dance. I haven't told anyone but I think I am in love with her. The way she laughs is mesmerizing.
"And now a dance from our dance team." the announcer states. Finally. The music starts as I find Autumn. I can tell by her facial expressions that she isn't very pleased. But she still dances. I will ask her about it after the game. She is doing great. They all run to the middle to do some dance move. They stack on top of each other and put Autumn at the top. She does some dance moves but never breaks eye contact with me. I see one of the bases fall when I realize what is happening. A moment later come the gasps. Then she falls.
I immediately jump off the bench, getting a few mumbles from the other players, and run to the floor.
"Autumn! No! Autumn!" I scream. She looks down at the ground and at my feet. Her eyes close before I get to her.
The first thing I see is the blood. So much blood. It's scary but I try not to focus on it. I grab her wrist to check for a pulse. There is one but it is faint. I scream at some people to call 911. I am so scared but I still stay with Autumn until the ambulance arrives. Meanwhile her family manages to come down through the chaos. We are the paramedics arrive and follow them to the ambulance. We all jump in.

We are sitting in the hospital room right now waiting on news. They won't tell us anything. My friends called and said we lost the game, but I could care less. We finally get hopeful when a doctor comes saying
"Autumn Laine's family."
We all stand.
"I am afraid I have some bad news." The doctor starts.
