Congratulations continue to go around the dinning room table while we ate. Emma and McKenna wouldn't stop bugging me about little details. Eli looked happy but at the same time protective. Mia looks happy and so does Adam. But Luke's expressions were hard to read. He looked happy, confused, and sad all at the same time. But one emotion stood out through the green eyes and that was protection. Maybe he is scared I'll get hurt even though he was the one who hurt me in the first place. Someone interrupts me from my thoughts.

"Autumn, are you done eating," Mia asks.
I guess I didn't notice that almost everyone had left the table and went into the living room. Not feeling as hungry anymore I nod my head answering her question. She grabs my plate and takes it into the kitchen where later we will all have to help clean them off.

I grab my crutches and hobble into the living room where we are watching something on the tv. As I look for a seat Tyler motions for me to come and sit next to him. I gladly take the seat between him and Eli. After sitting Tyler reaches over my shoulder, grabs my crutches, and pulls them over my head to sit them down on the ground next to him. At first I thought he was going to put his arm around me so I grab his hand and pull his arm around my shoulder. He seems to get what I mean and leaves his arm where it sits. After a while of watching tv and chatting Emma and McKenna tell me it's time to get ready for my date. They help me to my room before chaos breaks lose.

After a long hour I was ready for my date. Not changing my hair too much they put it up in a cute little bun. They also redid my makeup and put me in a white and black stripped skirt with a maroon top.
"So Autumn, how long have you two been a couple?" McKenna asks.
"Since I left the hospital. After I told you guys I could leave, he came up and asked me if we could be more than friends. And then I said yes. We've been planning this whole thing since."

Tyler left to go to his house once I go upstairs to get ready. After a few hours, I'm ready to go on my first date. While lost in my thoughts Tyler pulls up in his car. I was sitting on the steps of my porch in the cool California air when my thoughts were interrupted by a gasp. I look over to see Tyler have out of his car and looking at my. I swear I see him whisper to himself 'wow'.

"Take a picture it last longer." I tell him only to get a laugh in return.

"I just don't understand how something so beautiful can believe that she isn't."

I was glad that he was still at the car so that he couldn't see the redness of my cheeks. He walked to the other side of the car and opened my door. Realizing that I was still on the porch, I started to get up, or at least tried to. I stood on my good leg and went to grab my crutches when some other hand beat me to it.
"Let me help you out here." Tyler said as he grabbed my crutches and took them to the car.
"Hey I need those." I couldn't walk without them but he took them to the car.
"I know." He says.

Men are confusing.

He comes back to the porch and wraps his arm around me then picks me up.

"Whoa." I wasn't expecting him to do that.
It was kind of awkward because of my stubborn back brace. But he manages to walk me all the way across the yard and sets me down in my seat in the car and shuts the door for me.

After a while he hands me a a cloth. It's a long narrow black cloth.

"Put it on." He says.
"Why are you going to kidnap me or something?" At that he laughs.
"No I want our date to be a surprise."
"I hate surprises."
"Well I learn something new about you everyday." He adds with a laugh.

For a few more minutes I stare at the cloth then reluctantly put it on having faith in Tyler. We drive for approximately 15 more minutes then make a few turns before we stop.
"Okay we're here but don't take the blindfold off." He says as he gets out of the door and opens the back door. It takes me a minute to realize what he was doing. Then I remembered that my crutches were in the back seat. Only a minute later he comes back around to my door and he picks me up and carries me out of the car.
"Here take these." He says handing me my crutches and helps me steady myself until I am standing by myself.
"Okay now keep your eyes closed." He says while taking off my blindfold. Instantly I can sense the bright light and smell salt in the distance.
"Okay now open."
My eyelashes flutter open and see a beautiful sight in front of me. We are on a mountain.
A mountain!
Well more like an overlook of the beach. I see a small picnic on a few pillows near the edge. I also see Tyler sitting next to the picnic.
"Care to join me?" He asks.
And of course I can't say no.
