"I am pregnant. " Aunt Mia says. Next all you could hear is a chorus of forks dropping. "What?" I ask but you can't hear it because Emma and McKenna are screaming out of pure joy. "How far along?" Eli the smart one of the group asks. "Three and a half months." Aunt Mia announces. She should be showing soon. "What do you guys think?" Uncle Adam questions. Everyone answers but me. What do I think? Will it be good or bad. Will it help the family or just make it worse. Since the is an awkward silence between us I decide to speak. "I think it will be great. " Although I am not completely convinced that is true. Everyone continues talking as I silently excuse myself from the table and go to my room. Once I get there I lay down on my bed and fall asleep almost instantly because of the over whelming day.

I wake up to my alarm seeing that it is already 8:45 in the morning. Emma, Mckenna, and Eli are already at school leaving Uncle Adam, aunt Mia , Luke , and I. I take a shower, get dressed and go downstairs. When I get into the kitchen I see Luke eating breakfast. I am really hungry but I am not allowed to eat because of my surgery today. Yay. Note the sarcasm. Aunt Mia walks in and asks if I am ready. "As ready as I'll ever be. " I state. She takes me to the car and drives to the doctors office. The whole time I stare out the window. After thirty long minutes we arrive. Aunt Mia checks me in and a nurse brings us to a room. She tells me to change into a hospital gown and tells me to lay on the table. She sticks a needle into me good arm and something on my temple. She tells aunt Mia that she can leave. When she is gone, she rolls me down to the infirmary. We get there and some guys lift me up onto another table. They attach me to some other tubes and wires. Then they take the wrap of my arm and lay it out. They start talking to each other but I can't hear them. I slowly lose consciousness.

I wake up and open my eyes to see bright white lights. Once my eyes adjust to the light I look around. My arm is in a cast and aunt Mia is in the chair. The doctor comes in and starts talking. "What color cast would you like?" He asks. "Dark green. " I slowly say. He walks out of the room only to come back with dark green wrap. He wraps it around my arm then seals it. "All good to go. You will need to come back in two weeks. Your nose will heal in that time as long as you don't take the bandage off. It is water proof so it is ok to shower with it. Same goes for your cast." He states. He shows us to the exit and we go to the car. I sleep the way home. When we get there aunt Mia wakes me up. I go in to be met by Emma and McKenna in my room. Is school already over? I look at the time. 3:46. I guess so. I lay on my bed and motion for them to leave. They set something on my night stand. I look up and see a ring. The ring is a knotted ring. There is also a paper that says:
This ring represents the up and downs in life and the journey taken to overcome them. We will always be there by your side on a journey to change Autumn. We love you autumn. That is the last thing I remember before I fall into yet another peaceful sleep.
