A journey to change Autumn

After hours of not being able to sleep Mckenna wakes up. The time on my alarm clock says it is 7:26. That means it is time to get ready for school. McKenna gets up then helps me up and get dressed. I ask her for something casual and she gives me jeans and a button down top. She does natural makeup and a messy bun. We eat and head to school. I haven't said one thing since I have been ready to go to school. I have a feeling it will be like that all day. Once we get to school Eli ask me if I am ok. I just nod. I have lost most of my voice screaming and crying anyways. Most of the classes before lunch are boring. In math today the teacher asked me a question but I couldn't talk because of my voice. I wrote it down on a piece of paper and gave it to him. I guess I lost all of my voice. I go and sit by myself in lunch because I am too depressed to sit with my happy friends. Around the time chemistry rolls around I remember the project I have to do with Tyler . When I go into chemistry I see Tyler sitting at our usual spot. I walk over and wave then sit down. I immediately replace then smile with a frown when I think about my dad again. "What's wrong?" Tyler ask. I was hoping he wouldn't notice. I find a white board and marker on the desk. I pick it up and write that I lost my voice. He sees it and tells me sorry. He asked me if we are still on to do the project at my house tonight. I write down that it is okay to do it at my house. The teacher then starts calling roll and tells us to turn to page 268 in our chemistry textbooks. The class starts to get boring so I lay my head down on the desk. Tyler asks me for my address so he can come over after school. I give it to him and tell him to come at 4:00. Chemistry goes by pretty quickly considering how boring it was. I go to history with Mckenna and Tyler. I ended up drawing lyrics to my favorite songs on my desk.

The class goes by slowly so I get very bored. After the long day of school I walk home instead of riding home with Eli. The whole way home I think about my dad. He was a great man. I was definitely a daddy's girl. I miss him so bad. I don't cry this time but I am close to tears. I doesn't take me long to get home. Once I get home it is 3:45. I run at get ready for Tyler to come. I also grab a small whiteboard so I can write on. Right when I sit down the doorbell rings. I am about to get it when uncle Adam yells"I'll get it." Great. Tyler and Uncle Adam talk and I hear a signature Tyler laugh. He leads him into the study where I am then leaves. "Man. Your dad is funny." Tyler laughs. I immediately drop the book I had just picked up and stare down at my shaking hands.
