I quietly walk down the stairs after sleeping for five extra hours.
After waking up at seven this morning I fell asleep once again. I wasn't ready to face the wrath of my brother.
Why? You ask. Well it's really simple, he is going to be pissed.
I'm sure he knows who brought me home last night completely smashed. It was stupid to get that drunk, I agree. But for some reason I couldn't stop. Perhaps it was what happened with Gavin. That could've triggered it.
All I know is that I woke up in my bed. I don't remember how I got there or when but either way I did.
"Good morning, dear." My moms cheerful voice fills my pounding head.
"Mom! Quit being so loud." I groan and rub my temples.
"Are you feeling all right?" I know, my mom can be pretty oblivious at times. It's good at some points in my life but others it's just plain annoying.
"Umm, I'm alright. I just have a slight head ache." I assure her and head over to the cabinet closest to the sink and take two Advil, again. It didn't seem to help the first time
"I'm sure that's all it is." Devon snorts and sits down at the breakfast bar where my mom sets a plate of chocolate chip pancakes in front of him.
"Oh nonsense, Devon." My mom scolds.
"Yes, nonsense, Devon." I grit my teeth together at the last part while staring daggers into the side of his head.
Next my mom sets down a plate full of food in front of me. Yum!
"I better be getting going, I'll be at the hospital until about ten, think you can hold the house down until then?" She eyes Devon and I suspiciously.
"You can count on us." I beam.
"Sure I can, sweetie." She snorts and kisses my cheek then doing the same to Devon.
"Mom!" He groans and wipes at the spot where my moms light pink lipstick had stained.
I couldn't help but laugh at this. Who wouldn't? That's like something you see on spongebob. Or like in one of those shows where to indicate they've been kissed by a girl they have lipstick marks all over their face. It's funny because that's not even what happens.
"Sorry, baby." She coos while pinching his cheeks. This only pisses Devon off more as he tries to swat her hands away.
"Don't you have a job to attend?" Devon narrows his eyes at her.
"Oh right! See you kids later." She waves. A few seconds later I hear the door open and close indicating she is out the door.
Now Devon and I are left alone. The tension is so thick you could cut it with a butter knife.
A few more minuets go by and the only sounds are of our forks scraping against the plates. Which by the way is highly peeving to listen to.
"So..." I draw out the word as I move a piece of pancake around in my syrup.
"So..." he repeats what I had just said. I can't take it anymore!
"Say something Dammit!" I shout and my fork and knife clatter down on the plate making a really loud sound.
"What do you want me to say?! You got drunk, I know." He shrugs and gets up to wash his plate.
"I'm sorry." I say shamefully. I should've said that in the first place, why is didn't is beyond me.
"Well you should've said that last night when I see him carrying you up to bed." His voice filled with venom and disgust.
Wait whose him? It could've been Brad maybe even Jack? Of course I wouldn't know though because I was most likely passed out.
"Who exactly are you talking about?"
"Oh wait, what am I talking about? You were drunk you wouldn't know what I'm talking about."
"I deserved that..."
"No, you deserve way more than that. You just be glad that mom can't see through your little scheme."
"I know. I get it, I'm lucky. I over did it, I know. I'm sorry that I had no control but guess what? YOLO."
"Bella!"
"You only live once, Devon." I say in a 'duh' tone.
"I know what it means."
"Okay, okay. No need to yell, my head fucking hurts."
"Do I care..."
"It's like someone is inside my head playing a freakin' bongo."
"Bella..."
"Their hitting on it as hard as they can."
"Bella!"
"What! God, stop yelling." I rub my temples and lean my elbows down on the counter and resting my head on top of my hands.
"You just...nevermind." He turns to walk a way but I call his name. "What?"
"Who brought me back last night?"
I had to ask, the curiosity was eating me alive. I hate the feeling of not being able to remember. Like what if I did something completely stupid.
How stupid would that be?
Devon's furious with me anyway, what's the harm in telling me this one thing that I didn't remember? Well, I didn't remember much, but still.
"Gavin."
Ever heard of the saying 'curiosity killed the cat?' Well that's exactly what this is.

Long wait I know. I'm sorry for that but i have like three other books too.So I decided that I am going to redue 'Senior Year' it pretty much sucked. It was my first book not to mention a fanfiction. So I'm going to redue it and hope it turns out better. Tell me what you think.
Hope you guys liked and appreciated this chapter, it's kind of boring I know but it had to happen.
What do you think about the whole Gavin thing? Do you think it's sweet that he did that? Or do you think he has his motives? Read to find out ;)
Enjoy.
