Throughout the day, Darren's little smirk just can't stop bugging me. It pulls every nerve in my body to the point where I just want to scream.

It's quite obvious that something is going on, but I don't know how to approach the situation. Gavin and I are finally on good terms and I don't want to say anything to mess that up.

It's confusing and highly frustrating to not know, but at the some time I need to play my cards right or everything could come
crashing down on top of me.

"Hey," a voice says beside me and I turn my head to see Nick sitting next to me.

"Um, hi?" How the hell is he in my Calculus class? He never was before.

He's a senior so it kind of makes me wonder exactly why be would be in a junior class.

"I guess your wondering why I'm suddenly in your class?" He slightly smiles.

"Yeah, that would be a good place to start," I nod, the confusion still making me slightly skeptical.

"Well, I was failing my math class so they moved me down. It was an AP class anyway, but still not a good look," he hisses through his teeth and smiles.

"I get it," I nod.

I'm not trying to be rude, but it's still a little weird the day I find out they're up to something, Nick gets transferred into my class.

"Yeah," he says back.

Ever since the thing with Richard happened I've been out of a tutor, I was at a B minus for a while until I started dropping again.

I could really use a study buddy again, and maybe Nick is just the guy.

"Since you were in and AP class, does that mean your pretty good at Calculus?" I ask, turning my head to look at him.

"I mean yeah, I just couldn't keep up with the pace of it all," he informs me.

Great.

I smile and ask, "Would you mind helping me understand it?"

"Like tutor you?" He asks and I nod my head frantically.

If I can get Nick to be my tutor I can possible pass this class. Richard dropped out on me so I'm left to fend for myself unless I find someone else.

"Yeah, I don't mind. When do you want to start?"

"Today," I say a little to quickly. "If that's okay with you."

"Of course, I'll be there at six," he smiles and the bell rings.

"Wait! Don't you need my address?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"I've been to Devon's house before. See you later," he says and walks away.

I sigh with relief and walk towards my locker.

Putting in the combination I open the metal door and carefully slide in my heavy calculus materials.

It isn't long before Gavin his leaning left shoulder on the locker next to mine and looking at me.

"Hey," I smile and grab my things for yoga.

I took it as an elective this year because next year I will be taking career classes so this and design is what I picked.

"Care to share something with me?" He asks and crosses his arm with a scowl on his face.

"Um, I'm grabbing my stuff for yoga?" I say unsure.
