How could I have not noticed that? They had the same last name for fucks sake. Not to mention, now that I look at it a bit more closely, they actually look pretty similar.
They both have the same toned body and the sharp jawline. Those God for saken green eyes.
Definitely related.
"Hey," I say shakily. I didn't mean for my voice to come out that way, but my mind is lagging behind. Why can't my mind and body be on key with each other?
"What are you doing here?" Gavin crosses his arms and leans against the door frame, his green eyes boring holes into my own, wanting answers.
"I'm-" I begin to say, luckily Richard takes the lead.
"Bella, is a friend," Richard says. I have to admit, I'm pretty surprised he didn't rat me out to his arrogant brother. It would not end well if Gavin knew that I needed a tutor.
"Really? I'm surprised Devon even let you go near my brother," I want to slap that stupid ass smirk off his face. I'm not going to give him the satisfaction of seeing me angry, though. To know that he found a way to get to me.
"Well, he doesn't know Richard like he knows you. By the way, I don't think Richard is a spontaneous playboy," I snap.
Something about him just gets under my skin. He's like this bird that keeps chirping and chirping at you. The chirping becomes to unbearable that you just want to pull out your hair. In my case, have suicidal thoughts.
Especially now, knowing what happened at the party. Making me think he was some creep, possibly trying to rape me. I just can't look at him and think he's a good person.
"Right you are," Gavin's grin doesn't falter one bit.
"Good, so where is your little whore?" I didn't mean for it to come out like that. I can't have him thinking I'm jealous. Of course I'm not, but he doesn't know that. He's so arrogant that he would think a million different things. All having to do with jealousy.
"Chanel? Oh She'll be here soon. I just came to see who was making all the noise," he smirks once again.
"You can go now," Richard pipes in. I was so caught up in the argument with Gavin that I hadn't even realized we had an audience.
"I guess so," Gavin shoots me one last smirk before leaving the room.
"Sorry about him," Richard apologizes.
"It's not your fault," I sigh and begin to pack up my stuff. I can't be in this house while Chanel is also here.
"Still, he can be a real dick sometimes," I smile at him and stand up, towering over Richard who is still sitting on the bean bag.
"Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it," I tell him generously.
"No problem, same time tomorrow?" He asks with his eyebrows raised.
"Sure, I'll be here," we bid our goodbyes and I walk out his bedroom door.
Due to my luck, though, I run right into the slut herself.
"What are you doing here?" She sneers. Okay? Why exactly would she hate me? I've done nothing to her. I'm only going by what people have told me and from what I have seen.
I don't know how she can even live in her own skin. It would disgust me to have to live with all those skeletons in my closet.
Knowing that not only you sleep with every single guy that pays the slightest attention to you, but your a selfish bitch that couldn't care less about other people's feelings.
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't be able to. I just want something so life changing, and horrible to happen to her. Harsh? Well who cares? Definitely not me or any of the other girls in that high school.
"I was-" of course the pompous bitch would cut me off.
"What? I know it wasn't for Gavin," she smirks. What is up with all these popular jerks smirking? Can they not form a proper smile? Well, shit.
"Of course not, I wouldn't want to have to share," I smile. I can tell she's a little taken off guard by this. Probably hasn't processed it all, due to her being so blonde. In many ways.
Yes, I know it's very stereotypical of me to say that. Also, because I'm a blonde too, but she's honestly not even a real blonde. She bleached her hair.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me, I wouldn't want to share," I break it down slowly for her. Chanel opens her mouth probably to say something else when a gruff voice speaks from behind me.
"Come on, Chanel," I look behind me to see Gavin at the top of the steps looking down at the two of us.
"See you late, Virgin Mary," she winks before running up to Gavin.
I blink a couple times before heading out the front door.
Gavin's POV.
After hearing the altercation between Chanel and Bella, I had to get her out of that situation. What was I supposed to do? Let Chanel throw all those mean comments her way? I don't know about you, but I don't want to see Bella broken.
Sure, she's a bitch at times. But I can tell beneath all that, she has feelings.
Now, Chanel, I'm not so sure about her. She only cares about sex. Doesn't matter who or where, she will get it either way. And for some odd reason Chanel thinks off Bella as a threat.
Bella is far from a threat. She hates my guts. Not to mention her brother, Devon, hates my guts and pretty much has forbidden me to even look at her. Imagine his surprise when he finds out I live here.
I don't believe Richards story one bit. Richard doesn't just hang out with girls. Unless their dating, that is. And I think I would know if my younger brother was dating Bella. Something else is going on between them, and I will find out, eventually.
"What's wrong?" Chanel whispers against my ear.
"Nothing," I smile at her and crash my lips against hers.
The whole thing goes by in one swift motion. Me ripping her shirt off, her ripping mine off. Both our pants being slid off and then eventually me inside of her.
There was something off about it though.
Maybe because I was thinking that it's someone else.
Preferably with naturally blonde hair.
Long wait, I know and I'm so sorry for that. I was finishing my other book and I've been so freaking busy. It's ridiculous. But I promise it won't be as long a wait next time.
Thanks for all the reads. I really appreciate it.
Enjoy.
