It's been a week since that day. The day I tried asking Devon about his confrontation with Gavin and he just shrugged it off. He said, and I quote, 'it's not a big deal'.

I'm currently sitting in math, my second hour, waiting for the clock to turn to ten. Those last few minutes of every class seem to be the longest every goddamn time, though. I swear it said five minutes left, an hour ago.

The bell finally - thank the lord - rings and I'm relieved for that. We were supposed to be working on our homework for the last thirty minutes of class but I didn't understand any of it. Stupid calculus.

"Miss Duffy?" Mrs. Nowak calls me over to her desk. I sigh and slowly walk over to the front of her desk.

"Yes, Mrs. Nowak?" I ask politely, it's not forced. Misses Nowak is a super nice lady so I could never dream of giving her an attitude.

"I wanted to talk to you about your grade." She is an older woman, misses Nowak, probably in her fifties. She's young looking for her age though, and a really good teacher despite my lack of remembrance with the subject.

"Right?" I say, silently asking her to proceed.

"Well, your averaging a D plus in my class right now." What? I've never gotten below a C in my life. "I took the liberty to assign you a tutor. He is also a junior and his name is Richard Johnson. He's a very bright young man and should give you that extra help that you need. Here is your schedule for every week until you get your grade up to a B minus."

"Uh," I take the schedule, ready to turn down the offer when she gives me that look. "Thank you, misses Nowak."

Feeling frustrated, I dump all of my stuff into my tin storage container when I get to my locker, not caring how messy it looks. One of my books falls out of my bag, and on to the ground making me groan. Could this day get any worse?

"Someone seems a little stressed." A deep-husky voice says from beside me. Spoke too soon.

I turn my head to the side and see Gavin leaning against the lockers, one foot against the metal with his hands stuffed in his pockets.

"I guess you could say that," I mumble, grabbing my belongings and stuffing them into my bag.

"Want to explain why?" I turn to look at Gavin who has a cocky grin plastered to his face. Ugh, if only he wasn't so hot.

"Nope," I shove past him, but he quickly becomes at pace with me.

"Why not?" He asks. I laugh bitterly, just thinking about this whole tutor thing is getting me angry.

"The real question is, why would I tell you?" I raise my eye brows and he smiles.

"That's true. Yet, seriously, what better way to vent then to vent to a complete stranger?"

"First of all, lots of better ways. Second of all, we're not complete strangers," I point out all the flaws in his sentence.

"True, I guess," He rolls his eyes. "But I still think it's a good idea."

"Well I don't, so can you leave me alone?" I ask.

"Nope," he says popping the 'p'.

"I'm surprised my brothers warning didn't scare you away from me," I smirk, thinking that if I hint at the conversation they had, he'll tell me the whole story.

"Oh Devon? Nah, all fun in games." And...?

"What?" I ask, moving a bit closer to him and slowing my walk.

"See you later, Bella," He winks before turning the other way, leaving me alone in the empty hallway.

Really? That's all I get? Not that that wink wasn't sexy, and made my insides goo, but that's not what I wanted. I wanted answers and of course, he, like my brother, couldn't give them to me.

What did he mean by 'all fun in games' anyway? Is that code for something?

Either way, I'll find out one way or another.

Yayy! Another chapter finished. Btw I know it's boring. The next chapter will be Bette I promise. Hope you guys like the story so far. Enjoy.
