I don't know what to think about Gavin and I. Ever since that day in the Janitors closet he hasn't talked to me, or looked at me for the matter. And that was two weeks ago. It kind of makes me feel robbed of my emotions.
Sure I'm attracted to him. I mean who wouldn't? He has a nice muscular body along with a really pretty face, but I'm not obsessed with him like the other girls.
Chanel and I are still are on the worst terms. She does whatever she can to make my life a living hell. She doesn't believe that I was at Gavin's house for Richard. How stupid can she be?
As I walk through the crowded hallways, heading to sixth hour, I, being the worlds clumsiest person, slams into somebody. Way to go, Bella, way to go. I scold myself.
"I'm sorry," I apologize, though when I look up I am met with those freaking green eyes. This time, though, they are not of those who I am trying to avoid, it's Richard. "Richard?"
"Hey, you should really watch where your going," he teases, but never the less my face heats up like the sun on a hot July afternoon.
"Actually, it's a good thing I ran into you."
"It is?" He asks, looking amused and confused at the same time.
"Yes, it is. You see I've wanted to talk to you about the whole tutoring thing," i start off my explanation. The truth is i wanted to ask him if we could possibly study in the library at school. I don't feel comfortable at his house. And no it's not because of Gavin, okay maybe it is. That's a good enough reason.
"Listen, I won't tell anyone I'm tutoring you. Your secret is safe with me, Bella," he smiles. I stare wide eyed at him before finding the words to speak.
"Actually, that's not what I wanted-" and with my luck the bell rings.
"Sorry, I have to go. Mr. Smith will flip a bitch if I don't get in class on time. See you later, Bella," he winks before walking off to his sixth hour class. I groan and run my fingers through his hair.
It will be okay, I just will make sure I stay with Richard the whole time. I've gotten lucky the last two weeks, I should be able to do it another week.
Every time I would go over to study with Richard, Gavin was either with Chanel or at a friends. I am in no way complaining.
Richard is a really nice guy, way nicer than his brother. Thanks to him I am averaging a B in Calculus. We've grown really close also, he's become one of my best friends, even though we don't hang out much at school he easily tops 'Best Guy Friend' lame name, I know.
I knew I was late for sixth hour before I even walked in the door. I took extra long walking to History because I had so much on my mind. Devon still doesn't know that I've been going to Gavin's house for the past two to three weeks. The only thing he knows is a guy named Richard is tutoring me for calculus.
History was boring as usual, it will never be one of top classes either. The teacher sucks, his tests usually have an average of a D+, although his last one went up to a C, he was really happy. I think this is because he says we have a test two days before, and we don't even know what's going to be on it. Talk about bad teaching. Mr. Taylor is a fat, grey bearded man, who doesn't know style if it came back and bit him in the ass. Not to be judgmental or anything.
After sixth hour is over I hurry to my locker hoping not to be stopped by the end of the day traffic of teenagers.
"You have tutoring today?" Devon comes up behind me, scaring me half to death.
"Umm, yea," I say, shoving my very heavy textbooks in my back pack. Huffing in frustration when they don't go in as easily as I thought.
"You do realize their not going to fit, right?" Devon asks, looking beyond amused. Asshole.
"Of course I know that, now be a doll and help me carry these," I tell him and give him three of my books.
"You really need a bigger bag, Bells," he shakes his head and starts walking out to his car, me following close behind.
Fifteen minutes later were pulling into the Johnson's driveway.
"Thanks for dropping me off, I can see if Richard can drop me off back at home," I turn to face him. His face is emotionless and he's staring out the windshield.
"That's fine," he says a moment later. Strange. I swear boys are more bipolar than girls.
"Okay," I drag out. Opening the passenger door I get out of the car and walk up to the big wooden door. I knock once and like I expected Richard answers right away. "Always waiting for me."
"True," he laughs, and I join in also. "So let's go."
We both head up to Richards room and it is exactly like it was last time I was over, which was yesterday.
We get right to studying. Doing everything that we can possibly do to prepare me for the oncoming test.
I think Richard would make a great teacher one day. He really knows how to explain the materiel that is to be taught and he doesn't get irritated or mad when I have no idea what I'm doing. To be completely honest, he finds it amusing which only sometimes pisses me off.
"I have to go to the bathroom," I announce almost an hour and a half later. What? I can't hold my bladder for five hours like some people, plus I had like two bottles of juice at lunch. Its the best.
"Alright, first door on your left when you step out," he smiles politely and i thank him before heading to the bathroom.
After doing my business I wash my hands and such before heading back towards Richard's room. I get a little side tracked looking at all the pictures they have on the walls. Lots of them are of Richard and Gavin when they were younger. Some with Gavin in his Little League Football gear.
"Admiring my beauty I see," a voice startles me out of my daydream, I place my hand over my heart and try to control my breathing as I turn around to see Gavin looking as smug as ever.
"It's not you," I smirk. It wasn't, I was just looking at one of Richard holding a fish he caught.
"Whatever," he grumbled and leans his right shoulder on the wall, so he's facing me.
"Can I help you with something?" I snap. I didn't mean to snap at him, but how can I not if he hasn't talked to me in two weeks.
"Actually I think I should be asking you that question. So, Bella, can I help you with something?"
"No, I'm just heading back to your bother now," i huff and turn to leave, not before I hear the next words that come out of his mouth. That leave me wanting to know more, but not wanting to spend a second longer with him.
"He really likes you, Bella, don't break his heart."
It's been a long time I know, but I wanted this one to be extra long. So what do you think Gavin meant? Is he talking about Richard?
Thanks for all the reads and votes I really appreciate it.
Enjoy.
