After the first few weeks of doing the meal prep, Emily found out it is actually even easier than she originally thought.
There was a nice variety of dishes so it wouldn't be repetitive but they were all designed in something that she called a bundle. Because she could just buy a bundle of ingredients' that were the same for all meals for three upcoming days, yet in result creating completely different flavors and dishes.
Emily maybe didn't know anything about physics, but she knew quite a bit about cooking, and seeing how the diet and cooking for it was designed, she got massive respect for the girl who wrote it. She could now see what Yuzuru meant about her being perfect because there was not a single flaw in that cooking plan.
Emily was quite sure the girl must have been a massive perfectionist, otherwise, there would be no way she would have enough motivation to go through all those dishes and planning in such detail. Only such an obsessive approach that perfectionists had could create something like that. Or if she would be a genius or something, seeing the patterns of how the individual dishes and ingredients' linked.
Either way, she definitely wanted to meet that girl one day and give her her thanks. Not only because it actually made the cooking fast and fun for her but also because Yuzuru's mood was constantly at its best.

Though she sometimes second-guessed if that's actually for her own good because the happier he was the more Emily was worried about what she got herself into.

She couldn't help it and often compare Yuzuru to Nathan but the more she did the more she saw the obvious differences.
Ever since they agreed on the Sundays, he didn't cancel even once, and he also made it to each of her Friday concerts.
On the other hand, she also knew that it's like throwing her little leftovers of his free time and that she is, for now, satisfied with that only because she didn't have it at all in the last months of her relationship with Nathan.
And if there would ever something change in what Yuzuru felt towards her, she would definitely need more. And that was something she was sure he wouldn't be able to give her.

Now it was Thursday evening and Emily was prepping the food for Friday and the weekend when Yuzuru came into the kitchen, phone in his hand and a concerned look on his face.

-Um, Em? Do you have a moment?

-Something happened?

-My mum is coming. Tomorrow. My sister just called. Apparently, my mum wanted it to be a surprise and cook me dinner when I would get home, cause I kind of didn't mention to her you live here now. Only to my sister who just called to warn me.

-Oh, so I guess you want me to disappear for few days?

"Wow, nice. Now he is getting rid of me like if I would be a secret mistress that he has to hide." Emily thought and sliced up one of the carrots with a bigger force than she intended.

Yuzuru frowned and stopped her hand, putting the knife slowly away from her reach, confused look on his face.

-Why would you think I want you to disappear?

-Well, you said she doesn't know I am here.

-That's why I am going to introduce you.

-Oh.

-But we just have a little bit of an issue with space. I would of course normally take the sofa and give her my room, but I was just thinking....giving the fact of all the things we kind of already share....that you wouldn't mind sharing a room with me for a few days? Of course, if it's a problem, it's totally fine, I know we never actually sleep together even when we....well, sleep together, but I thought I would just ask in case you wouldn't mind....

-Zu, you should really learn proper breathing when you have these long speeches, you are all red.

Yuzuru nervously chuckled, hoping he would be able to avoid sleeping on the sofa for the upcoming days. Also, there was something he wanted to try with Emily for the past couple of weeks and this would be a great opportunity for it.
