Emily noticed him right the first night he came to the bar. He was with his friends, celebrating somebody's birthday and being the loudest table.
She could see that he is definitely one of those guys who knows how to have a good time.
Though the more she watched him, he definitely didn't seem like one of those arrogant spoiled brats. He just had that natural aura of a cool guy that was drawing her in against her own will.
Or not exactly against her own will, but rather against the fact that she liked the chase and didn't want a guy to know she likes him too soon.

And she was happy to see that she caught his attention equally the moment she started to sing, his eyes fixed on her the whole time. Right at the first song and the first night when he was there.
And also the next night. And the one after that. And many more after.

And after few weeks of exchanging gazes, then smirks, and later on random winks, she was literally ecstatic to see he finally approached her as she stood at the bar after her concert.
She wore her new black dress with a short leather jacket, an outfit she specifically bought for him, hoping the skirt is short enough to get his attention, but not too short to make it too obvious.
Nathan leaned with his back against the bar, supporting himself on his elbows, and turned his head to her.

-Hello, I love you, won't you tell me your name?

-Ooofff, pulling the almighty Jim Morrison as a pick-up line. Bold.

Emily turned to him with a glass of gin&tonic in her hand and took a slow sip.

-Did it work?

-Have you ever used it on another girl?

-No. I used it because the first song I heard you playing was by The Doors.

-In that case, it might have worked enough to get you my attention.

-Hmmm, and what would it take for me to make you go out with me?

-I am not gonna give you any hints. Fight for it like anyone else.

-Hmm, I am just not sure, because what I would like to do would either get me more of your attention or get me kicked by that bouncer.

Nathan didn't break the eye contact with Emily but leisurely gestured with his thumb towards the stocky guy in a suit at the entrance.

-Interesting. Well, then, there is only one way to find out, isn't it?

-I guess so.

Nathan gave her a mischievous smile and a second later she was pressed against him and his lips were on hers. He didn't wait for her to collect herself as his tongue pushed for a french kiss which she passionately reciprocated, wrapping her arms around him. Emily wanted to do that for weeks and was now enjoying this guy's boldness that was only making her more excited about him.

She spent way too many nights thinking about him, fantasizing and hoping that he will finally make the first move. Being on a verge of just doing it herself if he doesn't do it soon.
And now when his hands were on her cheeks, holding her head in place for him to prolong the kiss to his liking, she felt herself melting at his touch. If they wouldn't be in a room full of people, she was pretty sure she would just rip his shirt open and let the kiss lead to way more.

Seemed that she wasn't the only one thinking that as one of his hands left her face and started to slide down her shoulder, her ribs, her waist, and soon ended up on her thigh, pulling on the fabric of her dress to bring it higher. Emily was still directed with the side of her body to the bar, so his wandering hand was not visible to anyone else, especially considering how packed the nightclub was. But the fact that it was still in public was giving her excited chills all over.
