Anya was frozen on the spot as she stared at Yuzuru at the bottom of the wide, stone staircase.
She couldn't help it and began to rub her eyes to send the hallucination away, yet when she stopped, he was still there, looking like - well she wasn't exactly sure how he was looking.

It was something between devastated and ecstatic.

He did look like a mess. Even though in a suit, his tie was loosely hanging open around his neck and his hair showed visible signs of his fingers going through it way too many times. Yet she couldn't help and see a strange aura of utter excitement radiating from his eyes.

The whole place was completely abandoned, just the dark night around them and bright stars above their heads.
Anya stood there in the middle of the flight of stairs with Yuzuru looking at her from below it and she didn't have the power or courage to move.
She stayed there frozen in disbelief, only moving with her shocked eyes as she followed his movement towards her.
First slow and cautious steps as if he wouldn't be sure himself if it's actually happening and then picking up speed, taking the steps by two with long strides until he practically crashed into her.

She gasped from the collision and suddenly there was almost no air left in her lungs as he tightly wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her so hard as if to make sure she is real.

-Y-Yu-zu....air.

His grip relaxed only a fraction but at least it was enough for her to fully inhale some of the cold air and make her brain start finally processing what is happening.
But the only conclusion Anya could come to was that she might have been in an accident again and this was finally the afterlife she thought of, disapproving all of her theories and believes.
Because there was no other explanation.

She knew that she has nothing to lose, so she decided to just play along, to enjoy the moment, and also wrapped her arms around him, softly scratching his back as she glided over it with her fingers. Thinking that the fabric of his jacket seems quite real. Actually way too real.
And the warmth of his breath on her neck as well. And adding the shimmering of his hair on her face into the mix, she began to realize that her initial conclusion might have been wrong.
Might have.
It was actually probably real.

Yuzuru released her from his tight hug and sat down on the cold, stone steps, afraid his legs would soon give way under the intense wave of emotions he was feeling at that very moment.
Anya followed after him and he immediately lifted her into his lap, gently straightening the fabric of her dress as her legs rested over his.
She watched his focused expression as he was doing that, wondering if she is just dreaming it all.
Anya looked up at the stars above their heads and then once more into Yuzuru's eyes before closing hers and resting her forehead against his.

-Did you land the quad Axel the way you wanted?

She quietly whispered, hoping that the stars in the dark sky are indeed full of hopeful promises just as Yuzuru always believed.

-I did.

Her heartbeat quickened and she let go of the small box with her medal, letting it fall into her lap, and moved her hands to his neck, slowly going with her thumb over his ear.

-And are you with somebody now?

-There is nobody else, Anya.

She softly sighed, now being pretty sure she is really just dreaming it and soon will wake up on her sofa to the blinding light of her laptop.

-And you? Aren't you....engaged?

She slowly shook her head against his forehead and a first tear started to slide down her cheek.
