Sometimes, I can be stupid.

Sometimes, someone tells me something and I will take a long time to fully understand it.

As the sun started to go down, I decided to jog back to the beach house after my long run, my mind filled with thoughts.

When Taehyung spoke about disbandment at the beginning of the year, it took me months to realize he was mentally in a bad place and actually going through tough times.

I wasted so much time despising him for only mentioning it.

When Micha rejected me a dozen times, it took me literally weeks to realize where my heart really was.

In my pants.

When Yejin spoke with me at Bugaksan mountain, it took me a few days to process our conversations and my own thoughts.

Is it the girl... or is it being in a relationship? I remembered she asked me.

I realized this was my way of functioning.

Not thinking much, chasing my first instincts, never looking back.

But now was different.

I wanted it to be different.

Now, it's the girl.

I slowed down, looking in the distance at two members getting busy around the bonfire.

Now it's too important to fuck it up.

I walked in their direction, my heart still beating fast in my chest, drops of sweat sliding down my back.

"Finally!" Jin greeted me when I reached them. "I was wondering where my favorite helper was!"

"Yah! I've been helping you for the past twenty minutes!" Hoseok glared at him.

Jin ignored poor Hobi, fully focused on starting the fire.

"Could you please find us some newspapers? I think I saw some around..."

I nodded, jogging up the wooden stairs.

Taehyung and Namjoon were already drinking hard liquor, watching the meat on the barbecue, their cheeks getting rosy from the soju.

"Good run?" Namjoon asked with kind eyes.

I nodded with a smile, heading for the living room.

"Stay JK! There's gonna be a great sunset!" Tae smiled, pointing at the ocean.

I didn't feel like talking much, my head still bustling with thoughts.

It's too important now.

I started to rummage around the couches, looking for what my hyung needed for the fire.

"What are you looking for?"

I raised my eyes to the voice and immediately regretted it.

"Or... who are you looking for?" Jimin asked, leaning against the door frame, a mocking smirk on his lips.
