One year later

"Can we park in front of the beach?"

Jungkook nodded behind his helmet, driving the bike to the side of the road facing the ocean.

"I have a quick call for work," I said, jumping off the bike. "Not more than 5 minutes."

"For work?" he frowned.

"I mean... for the NGO," I rectified, shaking my head.

"If you start calling it work... It might be it," Jungkook pinched his lips together.

He gave me a strange smile as he finished parking the bike.

"I'll go grab some snacks," he pointed at the gas station close to us with his chin. "Be right back."

I nodded and got on the phone right after.

I was trying to get in touch with public institutions that could help the group therapy organization I was attending.

After a year of attending it, I had realized how thoroughly disorganized they were. We weren't always sure to have a room for our sessions and we sometimes ended up having to do them in a coffee shop at the corner.

Group therapy. In a crowded coffee shop?

I had wanted to facepalm myself so hard, but instead, I had started to get involved with the management of the NGO.

I finished my call just as Jungkook came walking back, his black hair pushed in the back from the thick ocean air.

We had been driving along the coast for the past week, from Seoul to Mokpo, and now heading for Busan to stay with his family.

"Look what I found," he said with a smile, handing me a magazine.

I held it in front of my eyes.
