We were in the dark. The dull balcony lights were enough to see each other.

He was sitting on the bed, leaning on his knees, looking with sad eyes at the ground.

That was exactly the sad face I had imagined when I decided not to go to the bar.
My hands came around his face and I lifted it to mine.
He didn't show any resistance, letting me raise his chin higher.
"Tell me what else you hate."
His eyes were still avoiding mine.
"And I won't do it again."
He looked back, eager eyes on me.
He blinked.
"I hate it when you call me Jungkook."
My face shifted away from his.
"What?" I frowned and chuckled. "What do you mean?"
I felt his cheeks warming up on my palms. Again, his stare drifted to the side.
"You should call me... Jungkook-ah," he said in a soft tone and I felt his heart flutter below my fingers. "Or any other... cute names..."

I tried to repress the smile wanting to appear on my lips, trying not to make him more embarrassed than he was already.
"OK, what else?"
His eyes fluttered back to mine as if he was surprised at how compliant I was.
He swallowed with difficulty, his hands coming around mine.
"I hate that you don't want to hold hands..."
I held my breath.
"...when we're in public."
My stare fell to the ground between us.
"I mean, only if... Not all the time. Perhaps-" Jungkook stumbled with his words, his fingers tightening around mine. "I mean, perhaps if we're just the two of-"
"OK."
His breath got cut short, his eyes widening on me.
