SIRIUS

I woke up on Friday to a loud bang on the door. All the boys were still asleep and Monroe never knocks, so it had to be someone else. I pulled the covers off of my body, tossed a shirt on, and went to greet our guest.

I was shocked when I opened the door to find Lily Evans standing there with her arms crossed. Her eyes met mine and took my arm, pulling me out of the dorm, before any of the other boys awoke.

I closed the door and turned back to her, "What is your problem, Evans? We still have another hour worth of sleep before breakfast. This better be important, or I-" I was cut off by a hand covering my mouth.

"Don't even try to lie to me, Black, James wouldn't lie about something that concerned his friends. Why in Merlin's name did you say you would think about liking Monroe once James could actually get a date with me?" Lily asked angrily.

I let out a little chuckle, "Well that's because I knew you two would never get together. I mean I am rooting for him, but come on, Evans we both know that you would- OH MY FUCK I FORGOT WHAT ROWIE TOLD ME ABOUT YOU!"

Lily slapped her hand over my mouth again, "Yes you dumb wit, I put two and two together. James is not even trying to please me anymore, he's trying to get me on a date, so you could confess feelings you and Monroe both say you don't have."

I pushed her hand off of my mouth, "We don't have those feelings. I knew James told you about it, but I forgot I knew that you would be okay with going on a date with him. Evans, please keep him on the ropes a bit longer so I can talk to him about this and convince him that I feel nothing!"

Lily crossed her arms again, "I'm not so sure I want to do that. We all see the way you two look at each other. The tension between you two could be cut with a simple snogging session. Sirius, you always say no, but have you ever thought about it?"

I shook my head, "Of course not because it could never happen. Even if I slightly so ever did fancy her, she keeps the list of girls that I have snogged. I don't think she would find it flattering that I'm interested in her now."

A smile appeared on Lily's face, "So, you do fancy the girl!" I glared at her, "Well you were the one who just thought about it, Sirius. I know it is a hard thing to think about, if you ever do think you want to prove something to her, burn the list. I might even offer to get her to think about it. James and I could work together on it."

I let out a chuckle, "Monroe and I have to get you two together first, Evans. I'm not thinking of liking her until you actually admit to yourself that you like James. It isn't like she would feel the same way."

Lily started to walk off, but looked at me over her shoulder, "I can't believe that I;m saying this, but if you really think you could fancy her and want to see if she fancies you, then turn on the Sirius Black charm."

Remus opened the door and stood in shock with me, "Did Evans just tell you to charm her best friend and basically say she wants you two together? James' speech about true love really must have gotten to her."

MONROE

"Lily, even if I so much as did fancy the lad, we have to get you and James together first. Mine and Sirius' love story is in no comparison to James and yours. If anyone needs convincing to give a lad a chance, it's you." I told her.

Lily threw a note at me before returning to the bathroom to finish her hair. I opened the letter to read, "Never say never, until you try. Or in my situation, never say never, until you give it a little chance."
