"Oh Sirius, how much I just love your hair and your muscles! Oh Sirius, I just love your hair, oh Sirius, oh Sirius!" I said, dramatically mocking all the girls that were flirting with him as we were in Hogsmeade.

James and Remus were laughing at how jealous I was. I had never noticed how much it bothered me, but now that Lily and James were having their first date, Sirius and I had to start thinking of liking each other. It didn't take long for me to come to terms with it.

Sirius on the other hand didn't need time to think about it. He started flirting with me more than usual now, but we still remained just friends for now. If we were together at the pureblood Christmas party, they would be setting up our wedding within the next week.

Our parents would see the two disgraces of the Airson and Black family together and think that we could be saved now. We would continue the family lines and I would be so lucky to carry heirs for the Noble House of Black as Walburga would say.

Walburga always talked about how Sirius was such a disgrace, but my mother said she always saw a lot of the old Walburga in Sirius. She envied to be as brave as Sirius and turned away from her family, but she was still forced to marry her cousin.

Druella was the lucky one of them all. She wasn't a direct cousin of the Blacks, but in the end we all were related in a way. She was born a Rosier, so in everyone's eyes, she wasn't a Black in any way.

Walburga envied her for a while, but once she saw that Druella didn't carry any of the Black family heirs, she knew she had won in the end. She birthed two heirs with at least one being perfect in her eyes.

The two House of Black members were both disappointed to see that they had birthed a disgrace each and Druella was the one who ended up with the crazy child. Not Walburga who married her own cousin.

I say all of this to make a point. Never in history had an Airson married a Black family member. They had hoped that Kade and Narcissa would marry, but Narcissa said she wouldn't want her children to carry the Airson gene.

My mother, Cline Flint, was thrilled to see that Kade didn't want anything to do with Narcissa the same way she didn't want anything to do with him. Kade is to marry Beth Rowle within the next year. He is actually marrying for love unlike many purebloods.

Beth wasn't scared to marry Kade. Most women who marry an Airson are scared at first due to what would happen to their children. If they had a boy, he would be a blood wizard. If they had a girl, she would be a dark witch. The same thing would happen to me.

My mother was also another lady not scared to marry into our family. She had some regrets and wished she could have helped our father sooner, but if it was his mistakes that led him to his death.

I had expressed this to Lily a couple days after she said yes to James. I told her that I knew I liked Sirius, but if we ever got together before we were disowned then they might think we were on their side now. Bella would be too pleased with Sirius being with a pureblood.

Lily told me that in the end, no matter what our family says, it would be Sirius and I until the end. Our parents didn't matter when it came to how we felt. She was right about that, but she was also meeting the lovely Potters soon. They were the most understanding purebloods out there.

Sirius wrapped his arm around me tighter, seeing my anger rise as the memories of the girls filled my mind, "Rowie, if I didn't know better I would say that you didn't like what they said to me before we left."
