The best wedding gift

"Did you hear the great news, sister?" Rigel asked me as I was finishing my hair in the bathroom.

I looked out the bathroom door, "What's the great news, Rigel? Deatheaters killed more people? More muggle-borns were killed? What could be the great news this time?"

Rigel folded the letter that was in his hands and shoved it in his pocket, "As you know the past few years our uncles have wanted a child of their own. The littlest Tonks has been trying to help them and offered to carry the child. The day has finally come that our uncles will be getting a child in the spring. A tiny little cub. Regulus sent a letter on how it all worked out perfectly. They all wanted a family, so now they can be."

"He's still sending letters to the house, I see." I said turning to go back into my bathroom, "Rigel, he wouldn't send them anymore if you would stop opening them. Just send the letters back with his owl to show we don't care."

My brother sat there on his bed playing with his rings, "Rotanev, I open them to make sure they aren't dead. I don't care about anyone else, I just need to know that Regulus and Remus aren't dead."

Finishing up my hair, I walked towards my brother and sat down beside him, "I know, but we have a mission to finish. That requires us, even for just one day, not to care. Jaden was right, you know? We can't care and we need to hold onto that anger within us."

Rigel laid his head on my shoulder and I laid my head over his, "I miss them so much, Ro. I miss Dad's laugh when he would make a joke about his name. I miss Mum telling us stories and using her powers to show the senses in the ceiling. I really miss Dad taking us out for rides on his muggle bike. I miss Mum teaching us how to garden like Cline."

I smiled as my eyes began to burn with tears filling my eyes, "Do you remember what Mum always told us when we were sad."

Rigel let out a little chuckle, "There is beauty in every sad moment because the outcome will always be more worthy than your sadness."

Hearing Rigel repeat the saying our mother always told us, made me think about what we were getting ready for. We were planning on taking over the Ministry of Magic. We were about to do something our parents would have never let us do.

There were days we regretted this path we had taken a month ago. We came here out of rage and pain, but over the past month all those feelings we felt didn't compare to the pain we felt by having his mark on our arm. Mum and Dad raised us to look away from this side of the war, but instead we joined it.

"Jaden loves being a deatheater, Rotanev." Rigel whispered, "It's like he was born for this and maybe he was. Our family line were all deatheaters. I see the way Jaden thrives when he hurts someone and it kills me that I can't do anything about it."

Rigel was right. Jaden fed off using his powers. He was hungry for feeling more power. He was hungry for causing others pain, so he didn't have to deal with his own. Someday that hunger would get him killed.

I lifted my head up and turned to look at my brother, "Do you think there is a way to remove the bond? I don't want too, but if Jaden gets too out of hand, I don't want to die because he couldn't handle his own power."

"I'm sure there is a way, but only people in our family would know. All the family books are at Grimmauld Place." Rigel informed me.

A knock at our window pulled us out of the conversation. I walked over to the window and opened it to see an owl sitting there. I gave it a quick treat, before taking the letter. I already knew who it was from based on the owl.
