Runaways and Heartbreaks

Monroe

They say when you meet the one you just know. There will be a trial of guessing yourself, but in the end you will always know. I was told that you just know because you love them so damn much. I want to tell you something. It's not true.

You can love someone and not be with them. You can be with someone and not love them. It's that simple for some, but some others have a hard time accepting that. Some people let men or women into their lives, before they even make a life for themselves.

That is alright and fine and some can handle that, but some can't. Some people just can't handle it because the moment that person who was half of their life just leaves, you are left feeling emptier than you were when you let this person into your life.

I would like to believe that everyone I knew married for love, but you don't love your cousin that much. Druella Black was in love with a Malfoy, then watched her daughter marry his son. Narcissa's father-in-law was in love with her mother, and he was in love with her.

My mother, Cline Flint, loved my father, but it came with a price. She had to give up her chance of ever staying out of the public eye. She agreed to marry my father, but was cheating on before she was even able to have one child with him.

Narcissa married for love of course and so was Kade, but Andromeda would die for love. She was so in love with Ted Tonks, that she forgot all about her family. She created a new life for herself. She was a well known pureblood and was okay with not being in the Black family anymore.

That's what I admired about Andy. She did love her family, but she knew that making herself happy was worth more than making her family happy. She was what I wanted to be in every way.

I watched as her and Ted played with Dora, while I was eating my lunch. Andy was missing a Christmas with her family, but was okay with that because this was her family now. She wanted to be with those who had stuck by her no matter what she believed.

Sirius came up behind me and saw I was watching them three. He leaned down and whispered in my ear, "I know it's sudden and weird to ask, but if we were to have children, they would be pureblood. What would you want for them? I know blood doesn't matter, but they would be heirs to the Black family, if they were allowed."

I turned to him smiling, "Well I know that if we were to have children, we would most likely already be married by then. The Airsons would allow us back, but we wouldn't need them because we would have each other. So, if any pureblood advantages were offered to our children, I would kindly say no. I will not let them think our children can fix our so-called mistakes."

Sirius' infamous smirk appeared on his face, "I love seeing you like this. You are a wealthy pureblood who could have it all, but you choose love. You choose happiness. You choose yourself. That's one of the many things I admire about you."

"Go ahead and kiss so I can barf already." Regulus said while opening the fridge to get a drink out, "I already want to barf knowing that I have to see our mother tonight. I'm glad this will be my last night ever being around any of them. I can't handle all those dark souls anymore."

I turned around to face the boy who I saw as my own brother, "Last night seeing them? Reg, I am a very smart person, but I am not following what you are trying to say?" I asked him.

Regulus poured himself some pumpkin juice, "I talked to Andromeda and Ted last night. I have really enjoyed my stay here, so Andy offered for me to come live with her during the summers. I'm running away along with Sirius."
