Regulus and I sat in our office at the ministry and looked over the paper work in front of us. Regulus scratched his head, "You think I will have to use veritaserum? I don't have enough brewed for this many wizards."

I nodded, "Yeah. Go ahead and start brewing some more. This case reminds me of the Travers case ten years ago. It was one of the few cases we forced a trial on." I got up from my desk and went over to the bookshelf and pulled out my spell book, "You think they will need a curse used on them?"

As Regulus was about to response, there was a knock on the door. Ace Rosier opened it, "Mrs Black, Mr. Black, two of the Aurors are here to speak to you. They say it has to do with the current case of Pettigrew."

I shared a looked with Regulus, before we allowed the two Aurors into the office. I went back to filling out paperwork on my desk, "James, we talked about his. He's not getting out."

James rushed into the room with Sirius behind him, trying to hold him back, "Monroe-"

"James, we are at the workplace. It's Mrs.Black to you. You can call me and my partner by our formal names, or you can be dismissed."

James took a deep breath, "Mrs. Black, please look over his case one more time. It has been ten years and Tom is gone. He's our wormy for Merlin's sake."

Regulus abruptly from his office hair, "James, as Mornoe and I are head of the council and granted permission by the Minster, we have the right to choose what happens. Peter Pettigrew was a deatheater. If we let him out, we have to let the rest out. Besides we all know the truth about Tom."

"But-"

I stood up from my chair and walked towards James, "No! Peter is where he deserves to be. He put everyone in the Order in danger and our children. He had a choice to die or join them and he should have died. Now, get out of our office and book an appointment next time. We have somewhere to be."

James scoffed, "All you two do is torture wizards to get the truth out and then send them to Azkaban. How many people have you killed the past few months, because you over tortured them or gave them a messed up potion on purpose?"

Regulus walked up behind me, "James, don't forget you work for us. We are in control of if you get to keep the job you have right now. Please, go while you still have a job, or we will have you escorted out."

James rolled his eyes and stormed out of the office. I turned over to Sirius, "You might be the one to keep him on a leash now."

Sirius lowered his head, "I still don't know how you can let out Malfoy and Nott. You locked away Bella, but not the two who worked with her a lot. Why is that, Monroe?"

I held a smile, "Lucius made a plead deal with me. If he returns to deatheaters ways, then I have permission to kill him and keep Narcissa and Draco safe. As for Nott, someone needed to raise his son after his wife died."

We three returned back to the Palace after work, with a surprise at the front gates. Lily and James stood there with Kade and Beth. Each family held a letter. I saw the Hogwarts logo on the front and a smile appeared on my face.

Lily ran up to me, "Harry owled us, so I'm sure the twins have owled you three as well. I thought we all could open them together in the house, besides Potter Manor is boring with only two people."

I agreed and we all ran inside the house to open the letters from out kids. Kade and Beth looked nervous as they held theirs in their hands. I knew the feeling they were feeling. No matter what we would love them, but what if they couldn't be saved like I was?
