Their last hope of humanity

Today was Aunt Lily's birthday, so Uncle Moons was out celebrating with them during the day, but he told us they would all be here tonight to visit with us. I would like to think it was because they wanted to see us, but it was more of a check up to see if we were dead or not. At least Grandmother Black would be joining them today. I missed her.

Sitting at the Slytherin table, I watched as my brother looked happy with the girl he was next too. Daphne smiled and laughed while sitting next to Rigel. It was never a bad moment with them. It was clear that they loved each other

It made my heart happy to see the joy my brother had found in someone. I saw the way he smiled around her. He had found his weakness. Now he had to learn to not let it control him.

My thoughts were broken and our friends went silent when a letter was dropped for Rigel and I, plus a small box. Rigel handed me the letter being scared of it being a howler. I opened it up and my heart began to break.

My dearest Rigel and Rotanev,

Grandmother Black was murdered last night as she went to Grimmauld Place to fetch more of her things. It was supposed to be a final clean out of the house and to bring Kreacher home with us, so Star and him could be friends.

Peter, himself, killed her. He was hopping to get information out of her about you two, but she wasn't willing to give up anything. She loved you two very much that she risked dying for you.

She will forever be in your hearts and be watching over you. Your Grandmother is now in peace with your other Grandmother and Grandfathers. She died being a hero for you two. Please remember she did love you with everything and protected you. I am so sorry, my dears. I will see you tonight.

Love,

Mum.

Closing the letter, I felt my tears build up in my eyes. They started to burn and my vision started to get blurry. Rigel took the letter from my hands. His hand shook as he read every word. Walburga Black was dead.

Daily Prophets began to fill the room and the news of her death was spread like wild fire. Nothing could stop it. Nothing could stop the stares we were getting. Nothing could stop the pain we were feeling.

Daphne went to lay a hand on Rigel's shoulder, but he pulled away, "Don't touch me. I don't want to hurt you right now."

He abruptly stood up from his seat and marched out of the Great Hall. Draco and Jaden, looked at me for an answer, but I didn't have one. I stood up and chased after my twin brother in fear of what he might do. He had the same temper as Grandfather Zain and Uncle Kade. The same as Jaden's temper.

I an idea of where he could be going. The same place anyone related to Sirius and Regulus Black would go. The Astronomy Tower. The one place no one can see what we do.

At the top of the stairs what Rigel gripping the railing, his knuckles turning white, "It's not fucking fair! Why does she have to die? She didn't do anything!" He yelled out of anger.

Slowly walker closer, I rested my hand on top of his. I didn't say anything, but kept my hand on my twin brother's. I knew the silence would be more helpful then I could be. He needed to let the anger out.

He pulled his hand away and turned his back to me. He screamed and the shadows left his body filling the room. The railing were now covered like a wall with shadows. The room lit with sunlight was now covered in darkness.

His power was the same as mine, but with him being the only of his kind it came with a price. He couldn't control his power as well as Mum and I could. He lost control more often than we did.
