A lovely mistake

The days of calmness in the the wizarding world were coming to an end. We all knew it, but how could we tell anyone else? Muggles and muggle-borns were being killed left and right. Hardly anyone was safe.

Kade and Beth had decided that they needed to take more matters into their own hands. They didn't trust Dumbledore as much as any former student would. He was signing up kids to be child soldiers.

Dumbledore allowed Kade and Beth to make the rules and lead the next mission. Kade wasn't happy with the idea of me being used as bait, but if we want to catch Tom or even some deatheaters, then I needed to be the bait. Tom wouldn't send out anyone to catch me and bring me to him.

"Fine, but after your wedding, you two go into hiding. There is not discussion about it." Kade snap.

As I went to ask why, he already had his answer, "Tom isn't stupid, Monroe. He knows everything about our family. He knows that dark witches can birth only dark witches and wizards. Bellatrix was there when the arrangement was made. She knows you have only two years to birth an heir. He won't only come after you, but your child as well."

"So, we are just supposed to forget about being in this fight?" I yelled, "You forget I am able to defeat him. It's going to take more than a simple blood wizard to kill him, Kade."

Kade kept his eyes on the table with all the plans in front of him, "Not if multiple of us work together. If I can bring a few of our cousins out of hiding and work on doing a blood ritual, then we can end him."

I looked at him in disbelief, "You can't just ask that of them! They went into hiding for a reason! Some of them are either younger than me, or are almost fathers to their own children!"

"Matthias isn't." Kade simply said.

I froze in my spot. The other Order members turned their attention to us. I shook my head, "No, you can't be serious! You want to bring him back here? He left this family! He picked his own path. You can't ask him to return. Not after what he did."

"We need him, Monroe."

"No!" I snapped, "You want him, because you won't use me! Kade, you and I can defeat him! Any order member can, as long as you weaken him. If you weaken him I can draw out the magic of the horcruxes, then someone can kill him!"

Beth placed a hand on Kade's shoulder, "There are no final decisions that need to be made today. We need to focus on the mission now, or else it won't happen." Beth looked at Regulus and I, "Regulus and Monroe will go uncover as if they want to join Tom. To convince Snape, Avery, and Rosier, then Sirius and Monroe will fake a fight. Make it something about which side is the right side."

Lily looked down at her shoes, "I don't know how safe that is. If they hear that Monroe wants to join them, Tom might really show up."

I kept my gaze straight ahead, "That's what we want. If not to kill him there, then to get something out of him. He will trust me openly, because we both have a connection to rare magic. The plan has been set. We will do it and go from there."

I turned back to Kade, "I will do what I want when it comes to fighting in this war. You are my brother, but you do not control what I do. I deserve to fight just as much as any of us do. Dumbledore trust me to fight, so you will learn to as well. Sirius and I are not going in hiding after the wedding."

Dumbledore dismissed us after that and I took no time before getting out of that gloomy room. Everyone was either sulking about what the paper said, or heated from an argument. It reminded me so much of how home was.
